Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Sweatshirt Walking Weather

 Sweatshirt walking weather this morning.
49 degrees with sun and clouds.
Great walking weather.
Sunrise 6:40.

Started my walk going through town and up and down a
few side streets as I made my way over to the DG Market.
Then headed over to the ball park.

The lines have been painted on the Pickle Ball court.
Now for the net to be put in.
Things take a while around here sometimes!

Continued on to the cemeteries and walked around both of them.

Lena was coming down from the cemetery as I was going up.
Stopped for a little chat.
At the cemetery Rebecca was walking Leo.

We all mentioned how nice the weather was for walking.

🌤    🥾    🌻

We didn't need much from Walmart this week so we went
to the Shop n Save instead.
They had stuff on sale that we needed and we got some good deals.
We left the store and only spent $38 and had quite a bit.
Now a days that is good.
Tuesdays are good for seniors because we get 15% off
and points to get money off gas per gallon.

I mentioned the Shop n Save from time to time so took a picture.

Got some more windows washed and a did a few other house chores.

Had some wire shelves from the garage that Ken didn't want anymore
so I took and cleaned them up.
Put them in my craft closet and stacked up all my yarn on them.
I had yarn in a few different places and now I have them
all in one place and can see what I have at a glance.
Much better!!

That's it for today.
Thanks for stopping by and hope your Tuesday was a happy one.
🤗 HappyK ❤️

Ginny - Yes, the fountain in the pond is lit at night.

🐻A few people mentioned the bear from yesterday.  Really nothing to be afraid of the bears here. Our 21 acres backs up on to thousands of acres of state forrest.  The bears aren't used to people and as soon as they see you they run away.  I'd rather see a bear walking around than a stray dog!!

Interesting about your bear comment! I love all those yellow trees behind the pickleball court!!

I'm not sure if I prefer to meet a bear or a stray dog on my walks. I hope I don't meet either. Your morning temperature was quite low. September is just around the corner :)

It was cool here this morning too - 46 degrees. Bob is working on building a shed and has been appreciating the cooler weather.
15% off is good! Our local store offers 5% off for Seniors on Wednesday.
Glad those bears are scared of you.

Beautiful yellows in one of your photos. Here in Canada we have a large chain pharmacy that gives us seniors 20% off on things on Thursdays. This does not include medicine, but still, 20% is very nice.

It is beautiful here in Montreal today, temperatures are very comfortable. I forgot to mention that seniors get a 10% discount here in most stores all the time. Grocery stores are usually not giving a discount, though. However every grocery store has weekly specials.

Stray dogs can be scary too especially the big ones. The weather has been cooler here too with rain off and on with a few sunny breaks. I always liked seeing the sun come out after a downpour and if you're lucky you'll see a rainbow. No rainbow today though. :(

We've encountered bears on hikes, and I do respect the bear! I'm not fearful of them. California hasn't had bear attacks in many decades; the most they do is get into the garbage! They are often misunderstood, and if they do make a move, it is always attributed to the human. I read where they don't like the taste of humans and after a few bites, spit us out! We're not part of their diet! I remember my dad always taught me not to act fearful around wild animals. They can sense fear.

Bears get a bad rap, like many other wonderful animals in the kingdom. Now, grizzlies, we no longer have them here in California. They are more aggressive.

Gotta love a store that offers a discount. Glad you found some good deals. I rarely leave the grocery store with less than $50 worth of stuff.
