Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Speckled Park

Cool morning walk at 52 degrees.
Lots of sunshine and just a slight breeze.
It was perfect walking weather.

Walked all my usual places.
All around town and both cemeteries and the ball park.

The corn around the cemetery is very tall.
I don't think I've ever seen it so tall.
I stood next to it and reached up and still couldn't touch the top.
It must be 8 feet tall.

New arrivals at the long barn.
Farmer Marvin has a new breed of cow.
It was early in the morning and I guess they were too tired
to get up for pictures. 🙂
The cows will be isolated here in the barn for a while
before being added to the rest of the herd.

Sheila was around town running and we passed each other
a couple of times.

Sure was a nice morning for a walk.

Monday and time again to start on the weeks house cleaning.
Perfect weather for clothes drying on the line.

After a morning of house work the afternoon
I spent reading and knitted, some inside and some out on the porch.

That's all for this time.
Hope you had a great Monday.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Karen, so nice to see your post! I enlarged your photo of the cows...they are delightful and beautiful! Glad you had some cool weather. Here in Montreal it is cooler today, however, we are dealing with haze and the smell of smoke due to the wildfires. So I did not go out.

Thanks for sharing your day, and I hope you have a wonder filled week ahead.

I never knew the name of the cattle, but I saw some of them somewhere not too long ago. I just can't remember where. 🫠
This morning was absolutely gorgeous.

Your temps are cooling off. Fall will be coming before we know it! Those look like some very tired cows in Farmer Marvin's barn. I hope you have a great week!

I'm so glad that you mentioned that new kind of cattle...Speckled Park. I went to look it up on the 'net and discovered more about them. Always good to learn something new.

I have not heard of this breed of cow. We have a lot of cows here, but I have never seen one of these either.
