Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Gravel Delivery

62 degrees and cloudy this morning when I walked.
Only a couple peeks of blue sky.

Started walking going back down the road I just drove up.

Turned around about a 1/2 down and walked back to town and straight through it.

Continued on over to the Industrial Park and walked around there.
This is the entrance.

Walked back through town and once around one of the cemeteries.
KitCat was around by the cemetery but his attention was on something
in the weeds and didn't even look at me.

Sheila was around town running again.

☁️    🌸    🥾    🚶‍♀️

When I got back to the house from walking Ken was outside
waiting for a truck load of gravel to be delivered in a few minutes.
I stayed out too and while waiting took a couple pictures.

I like how Aaron spread the hay around the pasture for the cows.
It looks like a path.

This is the barn looking left from my driveway.

Got a few pictures of the truck bringing the gravel and made a mosaic.
Fun to watch!!!

We usually take our dump trailer to get gravel but getting all this gravel
would have taken many trips and was cheaper to just pay the
delivery charge.
We got 22 tons.
Our trailer can carry about 2 1/2 tons.
Will use the gravel for various places including David and Liz's driveway.

I did a load of laundry thinking the sun was going to come out.
But it started raining before the clothes were even done getting washed.
so had to put the clothes on the drying rack inside.

Did a little more weekly cleaning.
Read and also made time for knitting.

We finally got some nice red tomatoes from our little garden
and will make BLT's for supper.
I'm off to do that now.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Hope your Wednesday was delightful.

Awesome vies in your photos. That's a lot of gravel. It was a good idea to have it delivered instead of getting it yourself.
A BLT sounds so good.

Such a beautiful sunrise! I love barns and that is a good one.
Lots of gravel and it does make sense to have that amount delivered.
We had BLT's tonight too!

That would have taken loads of trips with your truck so good thing you paid for the gravel. Thanks for the info. Will look it up. Janice

Fun view including the hay trail. :) We could use a nice load of gravel! That will be work spreading it.

Your gravel truck collage almost looks like a tiny movie! The sky shot is gorgeous. Odd but very cool way to put out that hay!
