Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

My Saturday

65 degrees and sunny when I walked this morning.
Went around both of the cemeteries a couple of times.

Through town over the the ball park.
Walked around there, around town and back to the pond where
I start out from.

Didn't see anyone else out walking but town was a busy place this morning.
It's yard sale weekend in town and people were out getting set up for their sales.
Walking around I counted 9 sales and I'm sure there were more
later in the day.
No, I did stop at any of them.
Just don't want to get any more stuff!!
I just smiled said good morning and kept walking!

🌼     ☀️    🌸    🌻

Met the others at the library for another Saturday morning
of Needlework.
A good turn out today with 9 of us there.
I knitted.
Making a couple of throws, one for David and one for Liz
for Christmas.
Figured I'd start early so have plenty of time.

Walked around outside this afternoon.
Did a little weeding and watering.

Then it was time to read till supper.
Shredded the chicken cooked in the slow cooker yesterday
and we had that for supper in burrito shells.
Also in the shells were, lettuce, cheese, onion,
and Zesty Chicken dressing.
A few chips along with it.

That's all I've got for today.
Hope your Saturday was a great one and
Thanks for stopping by.
❤️ HappyK 🤗

Your first photo does not look like any I remember seeing you walk at! I have written down your dinner. I assume it was cold? Never heard of zesty chicken dressing, is it clear or creamy? I will be making this for sure.

It's always good to start early on Christmas gifts. I am already starting to think about things I want to get for different family members, then I will watch for things to go on sale! Again, that is such a lovely scripture. It is one of my favorites!

I like your first shot!
Good plan to start on Christmas, I've been doing that too and it makes it much easier when it gets close.
A great verse!

What are burrito shells? Ate they like hard taco shells or what? We don’t have those here.
Have you used your air fryer oven yet? I don’t get mine until probably next weekend when they get their new stove/oven. I’m excited

Once again Tom has answered my question before I even asked. Sumac is not a tree I'm familiar with.

Never too early to work on handmade Christmas gifts.
I don't go to yard sales anymore for the same reason you didn't. Who needs more stuff?...lol

I so love the Sumac shrubs. Wish I could grow one in my yard. They remind me of the country life on both my grandparents farms. We had wet beef burritos last night for dinner. A simple salmon salmon salad today with a blueberry vinaigrette dressing I will make. Hope your enjoy your weekend. Janice

That's how I feel about stopping at sales & thrift stores & such, HappyK....I don't want to get any more "stuff". Your pictures from your walk today are absolutely beautiful. I'm happy 9 people were at the library. Sometimes in the heat it's hard for folks to want to move. Love, Andrea xoxo
