Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walking, weaving, and reading

This mornings walk started in the rain.
It was 63 degrees and too warm to wear a raincoat so just
took my umbrella.
Since it was calm the umbrella worked good, usually it's too windy which
makes the umbrella useless.
After walking around one of the cemeteries the rain stopped
and the rest of my walk was just cloudy.
Sunrise 5:48
Starting tomorrow the sunrise starts getting later again by a minute!

Continued walking around the upper cemetery, and then through town
over to the ball park, around that loop, more around town till I
got all of my steps in.

The house that is getting some work done on it is looking quite nice.
Just a bit more of the brick to do and I suppose they will
be painting the wood parts.

Here is the paved part at the ball park.
Still wondering what it could be for.
There is a basket ball court there already and it doesn't look quite
big enough for that.

I saw Thomas this morning running around the ball park loop.

🌧    ☔️    ☁️

Back to town after breakfast to go to the library.
It was once again time for Saturday morning Needleworks.
A good group of 7 of us there this time.
I made some more weave-it squares for Liz's grandbaby
due in January.
Here's a preview of the blanket.

A few more rain showers this afternoon and just a gloomy day.
Spent a good amount of time reading.

Made chicken in the air fryer for supper and used a new recipe
I got over at Mari's Blog.
You can find the recipe
She has some really good recipes and this one was another good one
and I'll for sure make it again.

Hope you had a wonderful Saturday and
thanks for stopping by.
🤗 HappyK ❤️

Deb - No, don't know the people from yesterday's gravestone.  We don't have  television and just watch DVD's.  Most from the library but some we own too. Also we watch shows on YouTube.  It's surprising how many shows are available there.

You tube is better for shows than regular tv!

Hello on this rainy Saturday afternoon! Your first picture is absolutely beautiful! I am glad you got your walk in. Madison and I were able to get to the farmers market before the rain cam ehere. Have a cozy evening, my friend.

I watch YouTube more than television. The TV shows today can be pretty crude.

The blanket is so cheerful and sunny! The house almost looks like it might be some kind of shop or even offices.

That house looks quite nice. Is it just a single residence dwelling? It looks really big.

That Mari certainly does have some delicious recipes.
Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.

I like that first photo with the flag, always good to see that!
The house renovations look good.
I really like that cheery baby blanket you're making!
And I'm happy you liked the chicken; easy and tasty is a good thing!

Could the pavement be for a pickleball court? Have a nice day!

That is going to be a pretty baby blanket. I love the colors. That's a big house - do you know if it is a single-family home or will it be an apartment? I agree with you - Mari is an excellent cook! We love her recipes! I need to get an air fryer. Hope you have a good Sunday. See you then!

Your yellow woven squares are so pretty. I've never seen that before. Looking forward to seeing the blanket when you get it finished.

Oh those weave-it squares are nice. That will be a very pretty when it’s done.
We only have one television and no cable or satellite. We stream and also watch YouTube. We no longer do dvd’s.

Our TV is mostly for Bob to watch sport but I also like to watch a little evening TV. Other than that I read and at the moment have a jigsaw under way.

Oooooh, those weave it squares are done on a loom, eh? I love that, HappyK. The yellows are so beautiful in the baby blanket you're working on. I can't imagine what that paved part is for, at the park. Are they going to build a picnic shelter? I love that first picture, showing all the houses down the city street. Even tho I love the country, being out here for almost 30 years, I do miss living in town. ~Andrea xoxo
