Another one of those hazy sunny mornings for walking.
A warm 60 degrees and calm.
This time started my walk by going up and down the main road
and the side streets.
Made my way over to the ball park and walked around there.
Then lastly walked the cemetery on the hill.
Got all my steps in before I got a chance to walk around the other cemetery.
Just people to wave to as they drove by.
Before too long I won't see the bus drivers for a while when school lets out.
🌤 🌸 🚶♀️
Right after breakfast we headed out to Lowe's
for a few things Ken needed.
We were going to go to a garden center next to get some plants for
my little raised garden but they had some nice plants at Lowe's
so we bought them there instead.
Nice that they were on sale too.
From there we did a little grocery shopping at Walmart.
While there picked up some more bird seed.
A nice mix this time so we will see if some birds come now.
After lunch I went outside and planted my little garden.
2 Big Boy tomato plants
1 cherry tomato
1 bell pepper
Parsley
Dill
2 marigolds
Also bought 3 strawberry plants.
Have to put a little more dirt in here.
Put the two gardens in the sunniest places we have so will see
what happens this year.
I'm hopeful.
Last night I forgot to knit the two rows on the temperature blanket
so did that this afternoon.
I got to use a new color called carrot.
Todays color is canary and I'll knit that later this evening.
Supper this evening was one of those nice big salads with lots
of ingredients that we enjoy.
Had some more of the Spicy Chicken left that I had in the
freezer so we topped the salad off with that.
It was quite tasty.
That's all I have for today.
Hope your Thursday was one fine day.
Thanks for reading my humble little blog.

Debby - I'll explain about the prayer shawl. The idea of it is while it is being knitting you pray for the person you are giving it to. Then when they put the shawl on it is like you giving them a hug and a prayer.
Andrea - Thanks for stopping by and for the kind words you left in a comment.🙂

I love your planter for your little garden. And if it doesn't work out, you can turn it into a fairy garden! Or use it for outside seasonal decorations. It can have so many uses, my mind is out of control now and I want one.
...Karen, you need a bit more "soil!"
Dirt is what is swept under the rug!
I hope your 'little garden' does well.
All the best Jan
It will be fun to see it this new spot for your garden helps things to grow better. That peony is lovely. Happy evening to you!
I'm so glad that you got some things you needed on sale! Lovely photos, and your meal looks very tasty.
I hope your garden grows well. We also have a raised bed with tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, peppers and basil, but my basil isn't looking good. Every other year it's done great... :(
I hope your raised box gardens do well. Very pretty pink Peony.
Nice!
Oh what a sweet gift for someone. Thanks. Yeah I never heard of that before.
We have a couple of tomato plants we got for free at our church.
It was hazy a bit here a few days because of the Canadian wildfire smoke coming down. Good luck with your strawberry plants. Love the peony. Janice
Your raised beds look great. I hope everything grows well for you. I'm assuming the marigolds are to deter critters from munching on plants.
we had a hazy, hot day here in eastern NY yesterday with not so great air quality....mainly due to the wildfires in Canada and the smokestacks from the mid west.
your little garden looks nice....happy growing! I'm trying to grow basil again this year. We do a lot of traveling so didn't want to try to grow too much but one day I will attempt cherry tomatoes again and maybe some peppers. I usually just give the farmers markets' my money for those :)
Happy weekend!!
I like your raised planters, I would like to have one on my deck.
Pretty flowers and your salad looks delicious!
Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend!
You are most welcome, HappyK. My pleasure. :-) Oh, what a beautiful walk you had....those views! You will have some good eats when your garden starts producing later this summer. I think the concept of a "temperature blanket" is sooooo neat. We eat a lot of salads too and your Spicy Chicken Salad looks divine. ~Andrea xoxo
The haze coming from the fires in Canada has been quite noticeable, hasn't it? Our son lives in Maine, and he said that it's really bad there.
I love your gardens! I pray that they will do well for you this year. There's nothing like fresh produce!
Your salad looks delicious!
That's a cute little garden!
