Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Thursday

Walking weather was sunny and 57 degrees.
Quite Nice!

Sunrise 6:17

Walked around both of the cemeteries and the ball park.
Went through town and down towards home a bit and then
back to town.

Didn't see any live herons but here's a couple metal ones.

Rebecca was out walking this morning too.

I found a nickel.

☀️    🥾    💰    🙂

All the major housework done for the week just had to do
the every day stuff.

Had to run out to the store to pick up a few food items.

Yesterday finished up the dry run I've been working on.
When we get a lot of rain the water will go down the stones.

Went out back and cut a bunch of sticker bushes.
I put them on the fence too.

The shawl I've been knitting is now 27 inches long.
33 inches left to knit.

We sat out on the front porch till a thunder storm came by
and we got wet.
Cleared up and the sun came back out but
another thunder storm is over us right now.

For supper we had more of the chili I made yesterday
but this time we had taco salads.

Hope your Thursday was a good one.
Thanks for stopping by.

I like the herons!
Your dry run looks good too. That was a lot of stones to move, one at a time.
We've had storms today too.
Good supper idea!

That dry run will look so nice when the water runs down it. What a good idea.

Back breaking work, lifting and moving rocks. I sure couldn’t. My back would never forgive me.

Your sky photo is gorgeous! Is this the back of your house?

Hi Karen. Leftover chili in a taco salad for dinner sounds good. I need to make some more homemade chili. Have a good Friday. See you then!

Good job on finishing up your week's housework. Because of outside work, I am, of late, struggling with that. I look forward to seeing water rushing over the dry run.

Love those herons, they are a super addition to a garden, I do have rusty Poppy Seed Heads as plant supports bought for by my lovely husband,

I thought about making chili. Maybe this weekend. Spring thunderstorms can be so epic. Happy Friday to you.

The herons look wonderful, I've seen a few of them here too. Taco salad sounds delicious, we just finished having homemade pizza tonight.
