Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A rainy walk

This mornings walk was a rainy one and 45 degrees.
It was windy too.

Walked over to the ball park first and walked around there.
Then both of the cemeteries and then all around town.

At first I thought I'd cut my walk short but once out there and
walking it was nice walking in the rain.

No people out and about but waved to quite a few drivers.

🌧    🙂    💨    ☔️

After breakfast (pancakes) we went out in the rain again
to do a few errands in McHenry.

Once back home did a few things that needed doing around the house.
Lunch time came around quickly.

Then a bit more work and then time for knitting and reading
till supper time.

The prayer shawl I'm knitting will be done soon.
It is now 52 inches with just 8 more to go.

We made calzones for supper.
Made pizza dough and then filled it
with ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, and spinach.
Dipped it in pasta sauce and
it was delicious.

That's all for today.
Thanks for stopping by
and hope you enjoyed your Wednesday.

I love your rain photos and Scripture verse. Here in Montreal today it is sunny and hot. The forecast is calling for rain tomorrow, perhaps.

We had a bit of misty rain yesterday. We've had at least some rain every day for the past week.
The calzones sound good.

Oh my! Your calzones sound absolutely delicious! I haven't made those in a very long time. I think I need to make some now. :)

All of your rainy-day photos are great...especially the one with you in it!

You made the most of a rainy morning. Love the collage and makes me think of the song "singing in the rain".

When God sends the rain it makes everything smell so fresh and clean . . . a reminder of how in Noah's day it did a true purifying.

I'd enjoy a walk in the rain, but it doesn't work too well for an electric wheelchair!

Millie and I have grown accustomed to walking in the rain. I do carry my umbrella though.
