Yesterday when I left for town I got 1/4 mile down the road and had to stop.
From all the wind Sat night a tree had come down and was across the road.
Backed up the hill, turned around in our neighbors driveway and went back home.
Woke Ken up and went with his chainsaw and cleared the road.
I then drove to town.
He would have had to clear it later anyway so we could go to church.

55 degrees and sun and clouds for walking this morning.
Walked around both of the cemeteries.
Saw a couple of rabbits at the first cemetery.
At the cemetery on the hill the creeping phlox
(my mom called it Mountain Pink)
has started blooming.
Wished it lasted longer, it is so pretty.
A few more bulls out in the pasture by the Drane house.
Walked through town and up and down some side streets.
Continued around the ball park too.
The new woman walker was out but she was on her phone so
didn't get to meet her yet.
Rebecca was out walking too.
🙂 🌷 🌤
Got a couple of loads of laundry hung out to dry.
Having the third line that Ken put up comes in very handy because
I can now hang two loads at a time out.
Made some chocolate pudding, and did my usual morning work
and then headed out back to do some outside work.
I picked up more deadfall and started cutting all the sticker bushes down.
Have to keep up with that or they take over the woods out back.
They like to climb up the trees too.
While I did that Ken picked up logs with the tracker and took
them up to David's place for their fire pits.
After a couple of hours of doing that we called it quits and came in for lunch.
I enjoyed sitting out on the front porch this afternoon
to read and knit.
Supper tonight was tacos.
Thanks for visiting.
Hope your Monday was a good one.

The photo of the cows out in the field is really pretty!
I've always liked phlox. Ours isn't blooming yet and I'm happy to see it blooming in your cemetery.
You had a productive day!
...creeping phlox put on a fabulous show when they flower!
I like the photo of the cows. I have often wished for a third clothes line. I have two and use them all the time. Tacos are always good!
The purplish creeping phlox is pretty.
Tacos and Pizza - my two favorites.
The Phlox is beautiful! Nature's addition and decoration for the graves.
That must have been quite a wind you had. Lucky Ken dealt with it and you could go to church.
Sounds like a lovely and tranquil day. I love the flowers at the cemetary. I like to dry my laundry outside too. It feels and smells so much nicer than when I have to dry it inside.
Good thing you had Ken to clear that road for you. The creeping phlox does look pretty.
Hello,
We had a storm too that took down some trees on our local fire road. Love the creeping phlox and the bulls.
Take care, enjoy your day!
It's good to own a chainsaw when you live surrounded by woods! The two of you get more stuff done by noon than the average bear.
Lovely photos.

Such a lovely and productive day. I haven't made chocolate pudding in ages; so delicious!
Have a nice day :)

I like the subtle light in your new header photo, as well as those gorgeous Mountain Pink.
The tree with the cows nearby is my favourite.
The creeping phlox is a lovely colour.
I like the photograph with the bulls.
All the best Jan
