Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Fountain On

This morning it was 51 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds.
Pulling in to the parking lot I noticed the pond fountain was on.
Spring must be here now.

I first walked around the lower cemetery.
Do you see the morning moon?

Next I walked down the main road towards home a ways and
then back to town.
Walked to the library and dropped a DVD off.

From there walked up and down some side streets and then
around the ball park loop.

Spotted the first of the tulips around town.

I saw a new person out walking his dog.
Another new woman walking.
As I was getting back to the Jeep to come home I saw Sheila (runner)
pull in the parking lot.
Haven't seen her for a long time so we had a nice chat catching up.
We exchanged phone numbers.

⛅️    🌷    🙂

Left right after breakfast to do our weekly food shopping.
A new Shop and Save opened in Oakland and we went shopping there.
We went there today to see the new store and probably won't go again.
It is just like the one closer to us.

We got home just in time.
The sun left, it got dark and very windy and then rained.
The rain didn't last long but it stayed windy.
By suppertime it was raining again.

Did the usual house chores and then read and knitted.
My mother used to sit and knit in the afternoon and I often
think of her when I do that.

I finished knitting the hat for Karen to go along with the infinity scarf.
You can see it

Supper tonight was lasagna.

Hope you enjoyed your Tuesday.
Thanks for stopping by.

Anonymous - I should have described the dry river bed as a dry run. It's really just drainage for the water when it rains a lot which diverts it away from the house.  I'm lining it with rocks from our property of which there is an unlimited supply!!

Nicole - The industrial park I walk around has 5 businesses in it.  It is quiet and peaceful with hardly any traffic. Woods are around some of it and also a farm in back.  I often see deer there and lots of birds.  It is really a nice place to walk.

It's good to see the fountain again! and the tulips! I do see the moon.
I really like that yard you used for the hat.
Lasagna sounds good. I haven't made that for some time.
We had sausage and peppers. :)

...the fountain should help to keep the pond's water clear!

Hi Karen. Spring is really here if the fountain is back on. I'm glad you got your walk in before things turned windy and rainy. We are just getting a few tulips out in bloom here too. Glad you had another nice day. See you again tomorrow!

The pond fountain is such a visible reminder of spring! Your town should have festival - the Fountain festival! lol. Okay that’s a stretch! Out here they have festivals for everything.
A new grocery store opened near us earlier in the month and I haven’t checked it out yet.
That hat will be nice. Love the color.

I also noticed a fountain back on in an apartment complex I drive by daily. I use to have a small fountain in my pond at my previous home. I loved it. Janice

Your dinner sounds perfect on a blustery evening.

I like the hat you knitted. I'm going to try that pattern pretty soon. We have a group here that I belong to that knits/crochets for the homeless and I'll donate it to that group.
