Got to leave a couple of layers of clothing off with the warmer weather.
Once the sun came up it was a mix of sun and clouds and no wind.
Beautiful walking weather.
Sunrise 7:30
Walked up and down the main road and some side streets.
At the DG Market I turned around made my way over to the
ball park and walked around there.
On my way to the cemeteries I walked behind the fire house.
Don't know what these are popping out of the ground
and will have to keep on eye on them and see what they turn into.
Rebecca was out walking with her dog Leo.
So nice to see her again after such a long time and we had a little chat.
Farmer Marvin has all the manure spread out over these two fields
and I guess planting will happen soon.
Some years it's corn and some soy beans.
Wonder what it will be this year.
to take a look at it.
It has probably been put up in the last few days or I would
have noticed it.
Only took 8 years to get the sign!!!
It will really feel like spring once that happens.
Morning Walk Steps 12,239
🙂 🌤 ❤️
Got a crock pot of chili going first thing after breakfast.
Book Club morning at the library.
I brought a 'show and tell' item with me to share.
Since the book was about glass making and they mentioned
Millefiori glass, I took my millefiori glass paperweight to show them.
Mine is marked on the bottom and is made by John Gentile.
Ken gave it to me for Christmas quite a few years ago.
Someone else brought a show and tell too.
A glass neckless made in Venice.
There were 8 of us there and every one like me thought the
time line portrayal was strange and confusing.
Don't know what the next months book will be yet.
Judy will email us and let us know.
After lunch I did a little bit of housework - very little!
Then I knitted todays color on the temperature blanket.
We had a high of 69 degrees so I got to use a brand new color, yellow.
The chili that cooked in the crock pot all day was supper.
We used the chili and made taco salad.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hope your Thursday was a happy one.
🙂HappyK❤️

Fear not, o land. Love that! 🌷
...I wonder if the plant behind the firehouse is:

Millefiori glass is new to me, I love the colors.
I remember my grandparents had a paperweight that sat on their homemade desk! Both are still in the family. Love the colors of yours, Karen.
Hi Karen. There are signs of spring all over your town! It's nice that a sign was finally put up honoring the people who donated the fountain. That is a beautiful paperweight that you took to the book club for show and tell! I love the scriptures you are putting at the end of each post now. See you again tomorrow!
That's nice that a sign was erected for the people who donated the fountain. Love the colours of you paperweight. Have a wonderful Friday.
That is a beautiful glass paperweight. I’ve not ever seen one like that.
⬆️That was me.
So nice to walk in this weather! I like the sign by the pond.
I really like your paperweight!
Thanks for the verse at the end!
That sign looks good by the pond, even if it took a good few years to put it there!
I like your paperweight.
All the best Jan
I had two similar paperweights that I got at an auction. I've since passed them on to our grandson.
Once again, a beautiful sky. The field with manure must have quite a smell when you pass it. The fields here really do, it even gets in your car when passing by. I recognize many of the beads in your paperweight. Some used to be called African Trade Beads and I would buy them in bead shops to make jewelry.
You were asking how my test went. They called me that morning and said the machine was broken! So they rescheduled for the 18th. This is the third time it has been rescheduled and I am beginning to think maybe God is telling me not to get the test! I don't know what these flowers are, either!
Your paper weight is amazing! I've never seen any that was so colourful and pretty.
I can just imagine how wonderful your house smelled as the chili gently simmered away all afternoon.
The fountain in the middle of Mill Lake which is in the middle of town hasn't been turned on here either. We thought maybe the beginning of March it would be but it wasn't.
I'm back here because I looked up Sarcodes ( what Tom suggested the plants were) and it's so interesting. Good for you spotting them.
Nice that they put that sign up by the pond.
I haven't made chili in a long time. Sounds good.
That Millefiori glass paperweight is fascinating.
Beautiful photos, love the sky and pond with the new sign.
Your glass paperweight is pretty.
Take care, enjoy your day and happy weekend!
Good idea to include a Bible quote each day.
God bless.
Good morning. Won't see those temps here for awhile. We were lucky to get to 60º on Tuesday. Since then the high has been in the 30s or 40s.
I read The GlassMaker and like you did not like the time changes. My husband blew glass for a hobby for about 10 years so the glass making was familiar to me including the milliflora.
Have a good day.
Nice to see the pond finally got its sign. I am sure the fields are smelly. Ours are getting manure and chicken litter at the moment.
