Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Icy but not for long

Last night we had freezing rain and thunder and lightning.
This morning when I got up everything had a coating of ice on it.
I had planned on going to town and walking and stopping in at
the doctors office to get my blood drawn.
(walk in between 7 and 10)

Temperature was rising and by 8:00 Ken said he thought the roads
would be good enough to get to town and he was nice enough to take me.
All went well and I was in out in no time.
The results will probably be in tomorrow.

When we got home I made us pancakes for breakfast
and then did a little house work.

By 10:30 it was up to 45 degrees and all the ice was gone
so I drove to town and took my walk then.
It was cloudy and there was a little rain shower but it didn't last long.
Didn't look at my step count so don't know how many steps I took.

I dropped off a DVD at the library and then headed over to the ball park.

The stream behind the park was muddy and swollen from all the melting snow.

I was surprised to see the new white house where Carmen
lives is for sale already.
Don't think it has even been a year.
Looked it up on Zillow and there are inside pictures.
Really Nice.
Here's the LINK

Next I walked around town and around the upper cemetery a few times,
then back to the Jeep and home again just in time for lunch.

I called and made my stress test appointment.
First opening for it was March 4th.
Have to be there at 6:45 AM.

The afternoon was spent knitting, reading, and puttering about.

Thanks for visiting and hope you had a great Thursday.

We had just a little ice this morning too and it melted quickly. Glad you got your blood work done and your walk in.
That's a cute house. I really like the back entry with all the storage for coats and boots. It's got a nice big kitchen too.

Hi Karen. So glad you got a walk in today. I am glad that things went smoothly with getting your blood draw. I hope that you have good results and that you get them back soon. Wow, that little white house is cute and cozy. I have to wonder why the family is moving out so soon after moving in. I hope you have a good Friday. See you then!

I'm glad that you were able to get your blood work done today and also that your stress test is scheduled. Is it in Oakland or Morgantown?
