Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Home all day

12 degrees this morning, more snow and the wind continues.
A good day to get my steps inside.

Out the front door.

Went down in the basement and got most of my steps down there.

Looking out the basement doors.

A couple of pictures of Ken's HO Train Layout in the basement
that I walk around.

The library was closed today because of the weather so couldn't go to Needleworks.

I got some weave-it squares done at home instead.

Didn't even attempt to go outside in the snow this afternoon.
We had a high of 14.
Nice to stay inside and putter about.

I'm reading another Miss Read book,
Summer at Fairacre.
Her books are delightful and always a joy to read.

We didn't have pizza yesterday so we made some tonight for supper.
Days like this I'm thankful for a nice warm house!

That's all for today folks.
Hope you enjoyed your Saturday.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

I enjoy Miss Read's books so much. I passed on most of mine to my sister and now I can't remember if I read Summer at Fairacre. Maybe I'll order it again. Too bad our library doesn't carry her books any longer.
We're having pizza tonight too.

Wow, Ken's train layouts are really something.
Boy it sure sounds bone chilling-cold. I wouldn't go out either.

No snow here but we are “promised” some on Monday. The totals are climbing a bit. FINALLY snow. It seems like it has been years since we have had real snow storm. I am actually looking forward to it.

That train set up looks awesome. I always enjoy seeing how folks set up their trains. It was freezing here today. My dog liked it, but me not so much. Janice

I'll have to look for the Miss Read books. The weather here has been cold and snowy. I had to go out and shovel yesterday because my driveway was getting really bad.

I love Ken's masterpiece and remember seeing it in detail years ago. He's got quite a talent and shares my love of trains.

Is he familiar with the Tehachapi Loop, I bet he is.

I bet some days you wish you could shrink down and live in that little train village!
