Got to town and started walking at 6:35, it was of course still dark but clear, 30 degrees and calm.

Morning Walk Steps 10,805
With the temperature up and down the pond froze, thawed, and now has another thin coating of ice on it.
Walked all over town as usual up and down some side streets, the ball park, and one of the cemeteries.
By the time I got to the lower cemetery I had all my steps.
Again didn't see anyone else out.
The first of the year I usually see some new people out.
They probably make new years resolutions to start walking.
I usually see them for a short while and then they give up.
The sun was out for a short while at the end of my walk but by the time I was home there was nothing by clouds and it started raining mid morning.
⛅️ 🎄 🙂
Made a mini round loaf of bread this morning called Parmesan Herb Loaf.
A new one for me and pleased how it turned out.
Will be making it again.
Had a few more Christmas cards to write out for church friends and got them done this afternoon.
There is a table at church where you can leave cards for people - saves having to mail them.
Did some reading and knitting this afternoon.
This mini tree sits in the box window above the kitchen sink.
Nice to see it there while I'm doing dishes.
Supper tonight was left over baked ziti with the bread that I made this morning.
Happy Wednesday to you and thanks for taking the time to visit here.
HappyK🙂
It seemed like the little Christmas tree wasn't so little after all.
It seemed to grow taller and wider with all the decorations on it.

Another lovely morning. It always makes me smile, reading about your mornining endeavors.
Wow! Your first photograph is beautiful.
All the best Jan
Oh, I so love that pond photo, and the one that follows...but that pond shot is wonderful beyond words.
Regarding the New Year walkers: I notice that too.
Hi Karen. I love that little tree. I am going to give that recipe a try. Sounds like you had another very nice day. See you again soon!
Your little tree is cute and festive.
I saved the bread recipe. It looks good!
Our church has a mail slot system that one of the men built. It's a whole bunch of slots with names on so we can drop cards or anything else we want to leave for someone. They get used all the time!
Nice that the rain didn't start until later in the morning and you had finished your walk. We also notice an increase in people walking after New Years then after a while they don't reappear.
Your tree is so cute!
I left a comment on your other blog. Can't wait to make this. Not much kneading or waiting for it to rise. Looks like my kind of bread recipe and we will have it for breakfast one morning.
What a pretty little tree that is. The lights at Christmas are so wonderful. That bread sounds delicious.
Love the photos, of the pond the mirror message and the Christmas tree. The baked ziti and homemade bread sound delicious. Take care, have a great day!
That little tree is precious!
The bread you made really looks delicious. The perfect little loaf! We have a wall of mail boxes at our church with regular attenders names on them so we can put cards and other notices in them. Have a great Thursday!!
The little tree is vey cute. I like the way the pond looks, it's pretty. The bread sounds delicious and we'll probably make some.
Sounds like perfect placement for your sweet little tree.
