Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A little wagon

31 degrees this morning when I got to town for my walk.
There were some icy spots around because it had rained and then had a light dusting of snow, like everything was sprinkled with icing sugar.
There were good places to walk though that were ice free.

Walked through town over to the DG Market and then came back through town again.
So much grit on the sidewalks and sides of the road that it made walking good.
Stayed on the main road and headed towards home a ways before turning around and coming back to town.
Then since the lower cemetery has a gravel road I walked around there a couple of times.

It was a cloudy morning and stayed cloudy all day.

No other people out and about again.

☁️    🎄    🙂

This morning was Blankets for Babies day so went to church.
Had a lot to bring with me, two blankets, cookies, cards, the ornament I made, and yarn to get started on the next blanket.

We worked on blankets first thing and did that till 11:00 and then we played a game to exchange the Christmas ornaments we brought.
After that it was time for the food.
We had soup and sandwiches and of course the cookies.
Had a fun time and this is the ornament I ended up with.
Isn't it cute?

Stopped at the library on the way home and picked up season 4 of London Kills.
Pretty sure it the last season.

I finished reading The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah.
This is one of the most depressing and sad books I've ever read.
Kept waiting for something good to happen.
If I had known how sad it was don't think I would have read it.

Only had a couple pieces of toast with peanut butter for supper.
Ate too much at lunch and wasn't really hungry.

Happy Thursday to all and thanks for stopping by.

Toast & peanut butter actually sounds really good. Of course, I have just come in from the cold, so anything hot and tasty sounds good. The little wagon is so cute, this must have been the best of all the gifts!

I like the photo collage, and that ornament is sure cute. I just now looked to see if London Kills is on Prime, and it isn't free. Maybe one of these days it will be.

Hi Karen. I really appreciate your thoughts on that book, The Four Winds. I was thinking of reading it, but I don't really like to read depressing novels, so I may skip it. That is sure a cute little ornament. I will have to look up that series London Kills. Have a good Friday. See you again soon!

I love the pictures, especially the middle one of the barn through the trees.
That ornament is adorable. I've had toast with peanut butter for dinner before.

What a cute ornament! I’m not into depressing novels or overly sentimental books and movies. I have battled with depression on and off much of my life - why would I want to fuel that into my mind?
The collage of photos are really nice. You live in a beautiful area.

By now, I've figured out that you must be the healthiest person in your town. Hopefully some people are walking later in the day. I love the collage.
