Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Pumpkin Pie

31 degrees this morning when I got to town and started walking.
It was cloudy and calm and the sunrise was at 7:15
Morning Walk Steps 11,014

Headed over to the library first to drop off a DVD and then continued over to the DG Market, turned around and went back through town.
Next I walked around the ball park and both of the cemeteries.

I was right about those 4 trees yesterday being sold as Christmas trees.

Once again I didn't see anyone else out walking.

☁️    🦃    🙂

Baked again today and this time it was pumpkin pie.
My countertop is quartz and it is great for rolling out dough.

Did some house chores and then had time to read and work on my cross stitch.

Since Friday we will be eating left overs from Thanksgiving we decided to make a pizza for supper this evening.

Hope your Wednesday was a good one and thanks for stopping by.

A few of you commented yesterday on the picture of the bull and asked what kind it was.
I went to Farmer Marvin's website and found this.
Springcreek Tesla 6E
Tesla is a key component of our SimAngus program.
Tesla will add length while maintaining rib and capacity.
A very unique combo.
Our first Tesla daughters calved in January 2023 and are looking like the right kind for sure!
They are doing a great job of raising their first calves, they have perfect udders, and are very feminine.
Tesla’s sons are masculine, have added muscle, and are structurally flawless.

Debby - It depends on the length of your stride but as general rule 2,000 is one  mile.

I made a pumpkin pie today too, but it's not as pretty as yours!

Nice pie! I’d love a slice!

Thanks for your answer. Okay I do remember when I was at Curves they measured my stride. I didn’t quite understand why.

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃

...I made an apple pie and apple sauce today. $50 for a Norway spruce sounds high. Happy Thanksgiving.

The pie looks great! Is that really what Christmas trees cost now?

It's been a long time since I bought a real Christmas tree. I think the last time I bought one it was $35 and at the time I thought that was expensive.
Your pumpkin pie looks delicious. I baked one last night but I cheated. It was a frozen one that I just had to pop in the oven.
