Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Tuesday

Was to town and walking at 6:25 and sunrise was at 7:35.
45 degrees and eventually sunny when I was finished walking.

Walked all around town up and down all the streets, the ball park, and both of the cemeteries.

Didn't see anyone else out walking.
I think people are just waiting and going out a little bit later when it's light out.

Pretty quiet this morning, nothing happening around town, but still I was happy to be out walking.

🎃     🍁     ☀️

I made pancakes for breakfast.
Usually use Bisquick and sometimes make buttermilk pancakes from scratch.
Ken's favorite pancakes are the ones from McDonals so I went on line and found the McDonalds recipe and made them today.
We both liked them better than the Bisquick ones so won't be using that anymore.
You can find the recipe HERE.

We went to Walmart for food shopping this week.
On the way back stopped at the library to pick up a couple of things.

Did a couple house chores after lunch and then went outside for a little while and pruned the wisteria.  Think I should have done it a bit earlier but this stuff is pretty hard to kill so it will probably be all right. :)

Liz got back home today after being in Florida visiting two of her kids for two weeks.
So nice to have her back.
We had Tacos for supper and invited her to join us.
David gets back from Hawaii November first.

That's going to be it for today.
Happy Tuesday and thanks for stopping by.

Melanie - I think when I take pictures of my other milk bottles and just put milk in them.

Karen, your pictures are beautiful with the colors the trees showing through... especially that second one. It seems to be leaning out a bit like it wanted to make sure you were greeted by it.

My grandma used to make pancakes for breakfast every morning and she used Bisquick. Reading that you use it too brought a smile to my face. Glad you were able to find a McDonald's recipe online and that you both enjoyed them. It's the little things we do for our spouses that really make a difference.

Deja Vu! This afternoon I went to the exact same blog and copied the pancake recipe! And we also went to Wal-Mart! Was able to find a couple cute things on their dollar aisles for the granddaughters on Halloween.

I love that path photo! We are enjoying so much beauty right now.
Thanks for the pancake recipe. That's really just as easy as Bisquick!

I enjoyed seeing the photo from Hawaii of David and his son. (Probably yesterdays post) How nice that LIz got back and joined you for Tacos. I'm going to try that McDonalds pancake recipe. Thanks for sharing it.

I might have to try that recipe...it has been a while since I made pancakes. We always used Bisquick, too. I would love to be walking down that path in the first photo.

I've never thought of using Bisquick to make pancakes. Must try that.
I can't think of anyone that makes use of their local library like you and Ken do!!
