Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A day late for Pink Peep

No rain this morning when I walked, just cloudy.
Was in town and walking at 6:30.
My shoes were still wet from yesterday so broke out another pair and wore those.
I buy more than one pair at a time so always have then on hand.
The temperature was 60 degrees and windy at times.

The library was the first place I walked to and dropped a book and DVD down the slot.

Continued walking through town up the main road and over to the DG Market where I turned around and went through town again and up and down some side streets.

Made a couple of loops around the ball park.

Lastly walked around both of the cemeteries and back down the hill to the Jeep.

Farmer Marvin stopped his truck to say hi.
Rebecca was out walking Leo.
Sheila started her run just as I ended my walk.

Didn't feel like doing housework today but once I got started it wasn't so bad and got some stuff done.

What I did feel like doing was the counted cross stitch and did that till my eyes couldn't take any more.  Seems like it will be done soon but I know it always takes a lot longer than I think!!!

Supper today was baked potatoes with chili and cheese on them.
A nice quick meal.

It was Monday yesterday and I forgot to post where Pink Peep hung out this week.
She was a bit upset with me.
Here she sits on the old butter churn.

Happy Tuesday
Thanks for visiting

Happy to see Pink Peep on the butter churn...even if it wasn't Monday. :)

Hi Karen. You had another beautiful walk today. It's great that you had a spare (dry) pair of shoes to wear. I love that quote at the end. It is 100% true! Have a good Wednesday!

Your photos today are just beautiful! I see some real signs of Fall around you.
Peep looks happy on the churn.

Even Peeps love butter!

We had a small butter churn like that at one time...we did not use it. We had one that had the dash.

I love the quote at the end, and probably agree with it - most of the time :)

I never feel like doing housework, and have less luck talking myself in to it than you did.
Pink peep contrasts nicely with the butter churn.
That quote at the end is so true. I used to take mental health walks a lot when my kids were growing up.

We are back in the states and I'm doing a little bit of catch-up with blogs. Looks like Fall is arriving nicely in your neck of the woods!
