Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

I was at town and walking at 6:20 and the sun rose at 6:25.
It was 62 degrees, mostly cloudy with a little sun.

First walked back down the road toward home and then turned
around and walked back to town.

Next around both of the cemeteries and the ball park.

A few of the chickens decided to sit on one of the saw horses.

Continued my walk over to the DG Market and then back to the Jeep.

Saw a deer in the cemetery.
A heron was by the pond and flew off when it saw me.
Also saw a red tailed hawk fly past me and into a tree.
Took a picture but it didn't turn out.

Saw a couple of runners who I've seen but don't know their names.
Rebecca was out walking.
RuthAnn was walking her two dogs.

I guess this is some kind of fungus.
Don't think it's a mushroom.

Stitching day at the library so went there after breakfast.
Four of us there this time.
Jalene is knitting a scarf for one of her grands and her hand
was hurting and she couldn't knit so I knitted some of the scarf for her.

Washed a load of clothes and this time there was no grease
on the clothes but the clothes didn't get rinsed.
Set it to rinse again.
It got the soap out but they were still soaking wet.
The next time I put it on the spin cycle and they were finally done.

The day was sunny and on the cool side.
Felt like Fall today.

Got some reading done and didn't do any work.

That's all for today.
Happy Saturday and thanks for stopping by.

There are two fools in this world.
One is the millionaire who thinks that by hoarding money
he can somehow accumulate real power,
and the other is the penniless reformer
who thinks that if only he can take the money from one class
and give it to another, all the world's ills will be cured.

I bet it would be fun to be able to watch those chickens...I bet you would find they have personalities.

Whatever type of fungus that is, it is interesting. And I like the colors.

...I think that it's Hydnellum aurantiacum. It's best not to eat.

That looks like a play yard for chickens. Chickens do love to climb and play. Those are pretty hens. I was out taking pictures of unusual mushrooms this morning.
