Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Thursday

Another morning with a temperature of 66 when I walked.
It was mostly cloudy and no breeze.

Walked around both cemeteries first and then the ball park.
Then it was up and down the main road and the side streets.

Flower garden at the library.
A little bonus was the chipmunk - do you see him?

A couple people were out walking dogs who I don't know.
John was out with Prim
and I saw Rebecca three different times around town.

The geese weren't around this morning.
Missed seeing them.

Baby Blanket work day at church.
Ken and I drove there together this morning.
Last month when we did Fingerprints the cutter wasn't running quite right.
Ken wanted to see if he could fix it.
It was just out of line and thankfully Ken could fix it.

There were 9 of us making blankets.
Donna brought the food and Jane gave the devotional.
Next month I volunteered to bring the food.

We had a sunny afternoon and as most afternoons we spent some
time out on the front porch.

Supper tonight was chicken cheese quesadillas, with lettuce and tomato on the side.
Another one of my favorites.

That's it for today.
Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you're having a fabulous day.
happyone🙂

Mary - Yes, it is Tom Brokaw the newscaster.

Deb - I think the house for sale is very expensive and I don't think they will get the asking price!!

Rose - The average is about 2,000 steps per mile, for me about 2,200.

...if a chipmunk is a bonus, my garden has plenty of bonuses!

The chipmunks have made their appearance here this week. I did spot him in your photo since we've been having our eyes peeled to see them here. Sounds like a good group for Baby Blanket day! Happy Thursday to you.

Karen, I am glad you get out early for your walk... especially with the humidity that has been accompanying these high temperatures.

Glad you had a good turnout today for the baby blanket day at church.

After I posted the previous comment, I thought you usually walk 13,000+ steps and consider it six miles...so felt silly for asking cause I could do the math...or at least a rough estimate.

I really like that first picture.

Hi Karen. Your baby blanket group sounds like a good group. I think that making the baby blankets is a wonderful service project and way to share Jesus! So glad that Ken could fix the cutter for your little Fingerprints books. Your library has a nice little garden. Sounds like another nice day. Have a good Friday. See you then. P.S. I thought the price was pretty expensive for that house too, but housing prices everywhere are ridiculously high!
