Snowed overnight and was snowing still in the morning.
No town morning walk.
Just wouldn't be any good places to walk.
Took these pictures 9:00 this morning walking back up the driveway.
My house
in the library and meet up again next week.
I wanted to show you this beautiful doily that Debbie, one of the
stitching ladies crocheted.
The size is 24" by 24".
We went to the DG Market just before lunch.
We started another puzzle.
This one of a bookstore.
Did a little reading and knitting this afternoon.
Ken was looking through some old pictures and found these of me
on two of our motorcycles years ago.
The first one is back in 1972 after we got married.
Ken had just taught me how to ride.
I never did get a license but just wanted to know how to ride one.
This is a 250 Triumph
Some years later in the late 70's Ken had this chopper.
I only rode it once up and down the road in front of our house on base.
I could usually be seen sitting behind Ken.
There were a few other couples who had bikes too and we would
all go riding together.
Had a lot of fun.
We haven't lost power but have lost our internet.
I'm writing and posting this on my phone.
It's slow going but doable.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Happy Saturday

That doily looks almost exactly like the one my mom crocheted for me in 1975 while she waited for a delivery of a table at my apartment. I still have it but it’s worn. It’s big and looks nice on a table. She must have started it a few days before knowing I was getting a delivery and finished it while she waited.
Love the old photos of you and your husband. I never had motercycles - I dated a guy who had a Harley. My dad had motercycles and eventually got his Harleys. My mom and dad belonged to a club and they would take runs, up and down California.
That is a really nice bike!
That's a nice pic of your house in the snow and of your road; really pretty!
The doily is beautiful! That's some fine detail.
Love those pics of you on the motorcycle!
That doily is lovely.
I do like the photographs of you on the motorcycles.
Well done for posting on your phone.
All the best Jan
Your house and road make a beautiful scene! We’ve had no more snow since a month ago. Hopefully your internet will return before too long!
I see that we have something in common! We were married in 1969, and Phil taught me how to drive his motorcycle! I didn't really drive it anywhere. Like you, I just wanted to know how to drive one. He had several motorcycles over the years.
Hi Karen. Those are such fun pictures of you and Ken in your younger days. Looks like you had some great times on the motorcycles. I love the picture of your house in the snow. That's quite a doily! I hope your internet service is restored quickly. Have a good Sunday!
The snow makes everything look so peaceful and beautiful.
The doily is lovely. If I'm not mistaken the pattern is called Pineapple.
I tried riding a motorcycle once but it didn't end well and I never tried again.
Thanks for the information on vinegar/water cleaning. I sort of fill my spritz bottle half and half I'd say.
We got snow here yesterday too. That doily is pretty.
Fun look back with those photos. That's a nice looking bike.
...I like the look of motorcycles, but I've never been one.
The doily is beautiful!
Great memories of you and Ken on the motorcycle.
We had some more snow but the streets are all looking clear.
Take care, have a great day and happy new week!
I wonder if we will get any snow here. We didn’t get any last year. February is our coldest month but its been hovering between 42-70 degrees.
Your cute on the bike. Bare foot and bell bottoms. Yep, that’s the 70’s.
Lisa
What fun to see the two of you in the 70's! That doily is a work of art for sure. Looks like it was a good day to work on a puzzle!
That is such a pretty doily! I have several that my grandmother made a long time ago!
