Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

More snow and another puzzle

No surprise here we are getting more snow, wind,
and cold temperatures this Tuesday.
It's 9 degrees now as I type this.
Steps inside again today but I did go outside and shovel the driveway
so got a lot of steps doing that.
I really don't mind shoveling snow.

Wouldn't you know the battery in the tractor decided to die today.
(can't complain though it has lasted over 11 years)
We decided to put off food shopping till tomorrow.

I sewed some weave-it squares together for this months baby blanket
and I'm about half finished.
I have two days to finish it.

Another puzzle got started today.

Ken started a train blog yesterday and has put up a couple of short videos
of his layout with more to come.
Here's the LINK

Sauce boats (Gravy boats) are todays Fiestaware dishes.
Only have three of the six colors I collect.

That's all I have for today.
Happy Tuesday
Thanks for stopping by

Comment Replies:
Sandi - The colors of the stacking bowls yesterday were not true colors because it was a picture of a picture.  The ones you thought are purple are blue.  The same dark blue as the rest of the fiestaware blue.

How amazing! Please tell Ken that we thoroughly enjoyed viewing his videos on his blog! So fun.

I have the light blue gravy boat that our daughter -in-law brought back to me from the Fiesta Ware outlet in Flatwoods.

This has been a never ending snowstorm! They just extended our storm warning another 18 hours and it's snowing like crazy again. Good for you for shoveling.
Looks like s good puzzle.
Do you have a place that you display your fiesta ware?

9 degrees today here and I rode my stationary bike. I love my outdoor walks, but not in that type of cold. Stay warm!

Gosh, that is cold. Here it's dipping into the upper teens tonight and we are all covering our plants and taking precautions indoors to prevent frozen pipes.
Looks like another fun puzzle.
I will be checking out Ken's blog and videos.

Oh yeah that is some cold temps, that is for sure. I shoveled snow only in Missouri during our few years there. I have probably shoveled snow no more than twice in our many years in NC. I could not last to do a 1000 pc puzzle. Stay warm up that way...

Not surprised your tractor’s battery stopped. My folks were living in the mountains so Dad bought a snow plow for his driveway - it would always break down and he’d have to wait weeks for parts. Finally after 3 winters they sold and moved down to the valley, in the house I’m living in. Cold weather is hard on anything mechanical.
Love love the gravy boats. I have always liked gravy boats - I have a couple but not Fiesta Ware.

Hi Karen. Question for you. Do you do your puzzles on your dining room table? If so, where do you eat? I am struggling to find a good place to do a puzzle, besides our table. I will check out Ken's train blog. See you again tomorrow.

The train video looks so real!!! A thousand pieces is too much for us, it would take forever. 9 degrees here tonight, too. I think we live in the same state though? But my memory is getting bad, maybe I am wrong.

That new puzzle looks like a lot of fun. I think I'd start by doing the white house.

Hello,
We are supposed to have these cold temps all week.
With the wind it just feels to cold to walk outside.
I will check out Ken's train blog next.
Take care, have a great day!

It is 19 degrees here this morning and it is snowing. That is great that you enjoy shoveling. I don't mind shoveling but my lower back seems to complain about it. :) I'm waiting on my next puzzle delivery to see which one I'll tackle next. Happy Wednesday to you.

I like those gravy boats! They remind me of my grandma. My husband would want to fill them with succulents. Happy Wednesday!
