Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

FiestaWare

One more day of having to get most of my steps walking around the basement.
It has stayed cold so icy places still in town.

Drove down to the library to pick up a book that I had on hold.
Horse by Geraldine Brooks.
It is the book club selection for this month which meets next week on the 11th.
I might have to start on Horse before I can finish the big book.
While we were in town stopped at the DG Market to pick up a few things.

A few of you mentioned my FiestaWare the other day that was on my hutch.
I like to change out the colors every so often.
I collect the original 6 colors,
Ivory
Red (orange)
Green
Turquoise
Blue
Yellow

I counted up the pieces I have and was surprised that the total was 105 pieces.
It is our every day dishes and the only ones I have
except for the odd few pieces of Folk Art from Pfaltzgraff.

All of the red and most of the yellow are on the hutch now but here
are some of my other pieces in the other colors in the kitchen cabinets.

Got some more reading done this afternoon.

Supper tonight is Fried Rice and Chicken Tenders.

Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Wednesday

I love looking at your collection of Fiesta! I have way too many dishes! It’s a weakness of mine. Also, love your menu for dinner!

Still no snow here.
Your fiesta ware looks so cheerful in the cupboards.

Hope you are able to get outside to walk tomorrow. We are supposed to get snow tonight and tomorrow. Maybe it won't amount to much.

Your dishes are beautiful, Karen. I like the original six colors best too.

Supper sounds yummy 😋

Hi Karen! Fried rice and chicken tenders sounds good. I love your glass front cabinets filled with your colorful Fiesta Ware. Hope you get to walk outside tomorrow. We are supposed to get a big snow storm this weekend. See you again soon!

Horse seems an unusual choice for a book club. You'll have to share what you thought of it once you're done reading it.

You have a nice collection. Years ago my brothers sister-in-law collected Fiesta ware. Don't know if she kept it up or not.
Fried rice sounds good and I love chicken tenders.
