Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A little sunshine

We had sunshine today but still I couldn't walk in town
because of icy and snow covered sidewalks and side roads.
So more walking inside.

Just the basic house chores got done today.

Puzzled and read.

Finished reading Demon Copperhead. (the big book)
I thought the first half better than the last half.
It was a bit drawn out but still I liked it.

We went out in the truck just to see what town was like
and went to McDonalds for a burger and fries for lunch.
Snow from the plows high on the sidewalks.
Main roads are great.

Fiesta Creamer and sugar bowls.
The tray is called a figure 8 and blue is the only color I have.
One yellow creamer and Four sugar bowls.
Never did find any lids for the sugar bowls.

That's all I've got for today.
Thanks for stopping by.

Glad you could get out in the truck and enjoy lunch and seeing the town. We didn't get above freezing today. More great Fiestaware pieces!

Brr, honey, I m froze too. I am so ready for spring and we have only had 2 inches of snow all winter...but it is coming our way now. Glad you had sunshine. I love sunny days. It was to be sunny today, only had about a ten minute break in the clouds. Stay warm and safe. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

The sun was beautiful today. I think our high was 45, but they are calling for some very high winds tomorrow.

Love the Fiestaware pieces. The tray is adorable.

I like your Fiesta ware, I have a few original pieces too and enjoy them very much.

You have some unique Fiesta Ware pieces that I have never seen. I like them!
I had a terrible drive in to work today, snow with ice on top. Tomorrow most everything is already closed. We are supposed to have a Bomb Cyclone blizzard which escalates quickly, lots of snow and wind. We're supposed to get 16 inches by Sat afternoon. So thankful I can work from home.

Sometimes a McDonalds hamburger and fries is just what you need to brighten a cold and icy day! I love today's Fiestaware pieces. I read a couple of books by Barbara Kingsolver some years back. The first one The Bean Trees was pretty good, but the sequel, Pigs in Heaven was not as good. I didn't like either book enough to read any more by her. I hope you have a good Friday! See you again soon!

The tray, creamer, and sugars are adorable! And though the colors are each so different, they all look so good together!! We had Mcdonald's hamburger and fries for lunch, too!

I haven't been to McDonalds in a really long time. I like your sugar bowls and creamer. That figure 8 tray is very unique.

We took a walk yesterday, to enjoy the sunshine while we could.
More storms are on the way. I avoid McDonald's. The Creamer and sugar bowls are cute. Take care, have a great day!

Here in eastern NY we are having Spring like weather. it's crazy!!

My mom used to have those figure 8 trays..wonder if she sold them in a garage sale before she died because I haven't seen them in years!! she also had a creamer and sugar just like what you show but hers were pale pink!!

I hope you have a cozy weekend at home.

When I miss Life is Good for a few days and then return for a new visit, I often find a new header, and today’s is new to me. You do a great job with your headers. Take care and stay warm … cold weather is here for most of the USA. John

I agree about Demon Copperhead. Better at the beginning and a little drawn out, but I finished it which says a lot for me!

I must admit that when a book gets too long-winded and not so interesting in the second half, I skim for a chapter or two and finish because I do want to know how it all ends. Sometimes I wonder if the author felt it necessary to attain let's say 300 pages, even if he/she had to "pad it out".
