Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

James

Rained through the night but by 6:40 when I was to town and started walking it had stopped.
Had to stop for a couple of deer on my way to town.
Sunrise was at 7:19 and then there was a mix of sun and clouds.
Temperature was 47 degrees and it was a bit windy.
Morning Walk Steps were 13,150

Walked up and down the town streets, both cemeteries and the ball park loop.

Went to see the bulls in the pasture by the big barn.
The mountain of dirt is slowly being taken away.

With the tractor here I'm wondering if it is getting to be time to cut down the corn.

Lots of pine needles falling on the path at the ball park.
They don't make any noise but are nice and soft to walk on.

John was out walking Prim this morning and he's the only person I saw.

🙂         🍁         🌤

We had a very nice time at the dinner last evening for us old timers who have been married over 50 years.
We didn't even recognize the fellowship hall.
It was made to look like we were in Paris.
Beautifully set tables and people from church were the food servers.
Everything was very well done and we all enjoyed it.
There were 14 couples and the longest marriage was 65 years!!

❤️         ❤️         ❤️

Came home from walking, ate breakfast, did a couple of things around the house and was at the library at 9:40 for A Stitch in Time.

Only 3 of us there today but surprisingly we may have picked up a new person to join us - James.

James came over and looked at what each of us was working on.
He asked if he could join us next time we meet and bring his finger knitting (not sure what that is) to do.
We said yes, of course we would be happy to have you join us.

I said surprisingly NOT because he is male but because he is a little boy about 9 or so years old!!! 🙂

Today it was too chilly to sit out on the porch, it didn't make it out of the 40's.

Happy Saturday and thanks for stopping by.

Still trying to come up with a new idea for a series of pictures.
Was thinking about things from around my house.
Would be happy to have any ideas you might have!

How cool that a young boy wants to join you for your knitting circle! I believe hand knitting is just what is sounds, knitting using only your fingers and no knitting needles!

Hi Karen. That would be so fun to have James join your knitting group. Yes, I would love to see some fun things from your home. I hope you are having a good weekend!

Wow, 14 couples. I love hearing about couples who have been together that long. My first marriage only lasted 21 years and then when Wade passed away we had only been married 12.
That is so cool that a 9 year old wants to join your group. I've seen finger knitting. It's done with your fingers rather than knitting needles.

How wonderful that a boy this young wants to join you! Finger knitting is for kids and does not use needles. Maybe you can teach him enough to graduate to needles. I would really like to see things around your house!

Stitch in time sounds like fun. Interesting that a nine year old wanted to join you, but nice to see youngsters wanting to join in. Janice

I taught my oldest grandson how to finger knit when he was little. He loved it and made a scarf for his mom. I love that that little boy wants to join you and that you welcomed him to your group. I bet he will be a fun addition!
