6:22 was sunrise this morning.
Saw 5 deer as I drove to town.
Started walking at 6:05.
A little earlier than usual because had to leave the house by 8:30.
The temperature was 55 and it was very windy and cloudy.
One of those winds when it pushes you along or makes you take a step back.
Walked around both the cemeteries, the ball park, and the side streets.
The new antiques stop, A Happy Accident Antique, in town is now open but just part of it is done.
Only open on Sat and Sun from 11:00 - 6:00 for now.
Have peeked in the window but haven't been there when it has been open but plan to visit soon.
Maybe this Saturday.
I'm planning on buying something just to be supportive.
Rebecca was out walking Leo.
Saw a few rabbits hopping about.
Some tree limbs and lots of leaves scattered about around town from the almost tornado yesterday.
Morning walk steps were 12,915

The reason we left the house at 8:30 was because the truck had an appointment to get the oil change, rotate the tires, and just have a check up.
Was supposed to take 45 minutes but we waited there 2 hours!!!
No problems, they were just very slow.
We won't be going back there anymore.
We went to the dealer because we had a coupon to use which we gave them and then had to reminded them about it when they didn't use it!!
Casselmans Market is right up the road so we went there afterward and did a bit of food shopping.
By the time we got home it was lunchtime.
This afternoon I did some reading, a little knitting, and sewing some squares together on the baby blanket for August.
It was cloudy all day and the temperature never made it out of the 60's.
Happy Tuesday

..in this area auto repair shops are understaffed. Good mechanics are hard to find.
Several years ago we found a great garage with great staff. The only work that we don't have done by them is the warranty work on my new car. As soon as the warranty runs out that too will be serviced by them. tom is right... good mechanics are hard to find!
It's been a little cooler here too.
Sorry you had a bad experience at the dealer. They were very slow! It's hard to find someone you trust to work on your car.
I love hydrangeas!
It seems everywhere I go for service auto repair, doctor or dentist there is always a long wait. No discount for making you wait either. I was raised to be on time. Guess it is no longer something viewed as valuable.
Beautiful berries and Hydrangea! I can't wait to see what you buy at the new store.
It's been cooler here too. It isn't much fun to wait around a dealership for car service or repair. At least you could go shopping at Casselmans Market. So glad you are back from blog break. I hope you will share what you end up buying at the antique store! See you again soon!
Thankfully I never have to wait for things like oil changes. I always drop off before I go to work then pick it up after I'm done. It's within walking distance so it makes that possible.
I like the name of the antique place.
Beautiful berries. And a new antique shop is so exciting. I'm curious. Do you take photos of the interior and what you see? ππΈπΊ
It's frustrating when something that should have taken 45 minutes takes 2 hours! This morning I had an appointment to renew my driver license. In spite of the appointment I had to stand outside in the long line-up and didn't get to the wicket any sooner than all the others. I was going to ask what was the purpose of an appointment if it didn't speed things up but by the time I finally was served I was so tired I just wanted to get out of there.
At least that's done now for 4 years.
That's a cool day in August for sure. Sorry about your oil change wait. I'd go elsewhere, too.
Such lovely berries and a beautiful Hydrangea.
All the best Jan
The nights are noticeably cooler.
