Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A walk in the rain

45 degrees this morning when I walked and it poured down
rain the whole time.
Sunrise 7:14
Walking Steps 12,921

Wore my rain slicker and rain pants and since there was no wind
I used my umbrella too.
That kept my face dry so no water got down my neck so I stayed
nice and dry.  The only thing that got wet was my feet and with it not
being cold I was fine with that.
Happy to report no lightning and thunder today.

One good thing about the rain is that the Jeep got a washing.
It was filthy with all the salt but the rain washed it all away.

Didn't expect to see anyone else out and I didn't.

Walked around town up and down all the streets.
Walking around the ball park loop here.

Walking down from the upper cemetery in this picture.

Didn't walk around the other cemetery because the tracks where
I walk were little streams of water.

Even though it was raining I had a good walk and it was nice
listening to the rain on my umbrella. ☔️

Today I straighten up the pantry.
It was pretty good already and mainly organized the baking shelf.
I have a pretty good sized pantry and all the little kitchen
appliances fit in nicely as well as all the food.
Put some things that I don't use very often up on the higher shelf.
I also put some nuts, chocolate chips and craisins that were opened
in some mason jars.

This afternoon I read and knitted.

Friday so it was pizza day again.
Bread machine making the dough and Ken making the actual pizza.

A rainy day and was very foggy for a couple of hours
this afternoon.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Friday

It's looking pretty wet there! We are supposed to get more snow tomorrow.
I Hope your pizza was good. Homemade pizza usually is!

We usually have pizza on Fridays but today we had soft pretzels with cheese sauce. Sometimes we just have to mix it up! Have a great weekend!

...Walkin' In The Rain, I love that song!

That's a saying that requires some pondering. I like the particular sound of rain falling one different objects, including an umbrella.
Your pantry all straightened up sounds wonderful.

I look forward to having a proper pantry when we move. Glad no thunder or lightening. Sorry about the soggy feet.

I admire that you walk in the rain and cold weather. I am in So CA and that is cold for us! I enjoyed your pictures too!

Hi Karen. I need to straighten my pantry again, but since we will be moving soon, I probably won't. It is small. I hope to have a bigger, nicer pantry one day. We got quite a bit of snow here today. I am tired of winter and am looking forward to nice spring weather, although our temperatures need to warm up slowly so we don't have flooding. Have a good weekend. See you again soon!

We had rain and snow and hail today. A mix for sure. Glad you could walk with no threat of lightning. Happy weekend to you!

It does look so wet out there, must have taken quite a bit of determination to go out in weather like that. I like your quote at the end, have not read it before.

A walk in the rain would be rather nice if you can stay relatively dry.

That's what we have here today. A rainy one but my car needed the washing, too!

You are the eternal optimist! Not only to walk in the rain, but not to complain about it either.
It's always so nice to go into a pantry that is well organized.
Last time we had rain I pulled my car out of the garage so it would wash the pollen off.

It's a wet day here too. The kind of weather we expect in March. We went to do some shopping this morning and didn't go walking. Since it was cold and wet I was happy to skip it.

I can almost hear the rain as you are walking. Those spring rains are so refreshing.
