Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

51 years

Yesterday on my walk I saw a skunk in the industrial park.
I was walking down the road and the skunk was coming down a
hill to the road.
He saw me stopped, and I just kept walking.
After I passed the skunk continued on his way.
I turned around a took this not great picture.

36 degrees this morning when I went walking.
A misty, foggy, morning and no wind.
Sunrise was at 7:26 but I sure didn't see it.
Walk Steps 13045

Walked up and down the main street and both streets that run
parallel to it, both cemeteries and the ball park loop.

A few pictures along my way.
Starting out.

Coming to the end.

No one else out walking this morning again.
It's been a while since I've seen any of my regular walker friends.

I did see Phil (Wigggle Man) and walked with him from the car dealers
to the post office a block away.

Got a text from David while I was walking and he just
 FOUND HIS KEYS!!
Good thing we got the rain to melt the snow.

Here it is Monday already again.
Got some chicken cooking in the crock pot first thing.
Then did my usual morning routine.

Ken made us Nachos for lunch.

I've started knitting a simple baby sweater
called a boat-neck sweater.

It is a rare day that we run out of ice cream but it happened.
So for our snack this evening
I baked a cake.
A yellow box mix but did make the chocolate icing.

I shredded the chicken that cooked in the crock pot all day
and we made chicken burritos with it for supper.
Still chicken left over to use for another meal.

Today is our wedding anniversary.
❤️ 51 years ❤️
💒

Thanks for visiting.
A happy Monday to you.

Rose - No haven't read Hoosiers.

John - I usually start my walk at 6:30 in the morning. Sometimes a bit earlier and sometimes a bit later but it is always the first thing I do when I wake up.

Vee - Tried to put a link to the jigidi puzzle I made but no one can get to the link without signing in.

Yes I love the fog pics as well. I have never seen a real live skunk, mostly roadkill. Gotta love the crockpot for getting dinner first thing in the morning. Have ribs and a pork roast in mine! Congrats on your wedding anniversary. Quite an accomplishment these days♥

Hi Karen. Happy anniversary to you and Ken. So glad that David found his keys. Our day started out at 10 degrees! It's so bitter cold. I exercised downstairs this morning and will do so again tonight. I am so glad it is supposed to warm up later this week. I hope you have a great Tuesday. Cake for an evening snack sounds good! See you again soon!

Your pale green yarn color is beautiful! I remember the boat necks, you don't see them around much anymore. Your photo of the church is lovely. I hope the skunk got out of the street before he was hit, we see quite a few dead on the road. Good thing he didn't spray you!

I wonder if your friends are walking later in the day, or if they are waiting for warmer days. We are having an ice storm tonight. Nasty stuff! Happy anniversary to both you and Ken.

I've come across live skunks from time to time.

I refer to them endearingly as black and white striped terrors.

Happy Anniversary to you and Ken. Enjoy your cake. I try not to buy ice0cream because I am too fond of it, no self control and Peter doesn't like it at all.

Happy Anniversary!!! (A day late) I really like the light green yarn that you're using for the baby sweater. My daughter calls that shade Celadon. Pretty name for a pretty colour.
