Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Henny Penny Animal Shelter

We had another work day at church doing the Fingerprint Ministry.
Today there were 7 of us working.
Between both days we got 5,369 Romans books assembled,
stapled, cut, and boxed up.
Not bad for not having a lot of people.

I had planned on walking before going but woke up to another
day of rain, fog and 47 degrees.
Didn't feel like getting wet again and would have had to
cut my walk short anyway.
So I walked 2 miles inside doing laps around in the basement
before we left and another 2 miles before supper when we got home.
Most of you know when I don't walk outside I walk laps around
Ken's HO Train Layout in the basement.

He creates little scenes and will name them after people we know.
Since I don't have any outside pictures today here's a few from
along the railroad I walk around.

He made this little scene for
Henny Penny who is a blogger friend who loves all animals.
This is for you Henny Penny.

That's going to be it for today.
Happy Saturday to you.

Oh my goodness! Karen and Ken, how special! What a compliment. Thank you so much. Wish I actually had a place as nice as the one you've created, wouldn't mind having all those animals too. I like the chickens and kitty cat up on the roof. :) You have an amazing train layout. Karen, thank you for letting me know. Going back to have another look.

Oh, I love train sets. We have 2 sets that belonged to our dads. Sadly we have no place to set them up. So they just sit in boxes in the garage.

I used to have an uncle whose basement was all trains and I was fascinated with the villages and towns he would set up.

It's always so fun to see scenes from Ken's train layout. It's so fun that he named a scene after your blogging friend. Wow, you had a very productive Saturday and sure made a lot of little books. You are blessing many lives! See you again tomorrow.

I think that's so neat, naming the animal rescue center after dear Henny Penny.
Have a blessed Sunday.

How wonderful to have a Henny Penny Animal Shelter along the tracks. I am sure this just made Henny’s day! One of the best things about winter is getting to see more of Ken’s train layout.
