Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walking in the mist

A misty rainy walk at times.
42 degrees and windy.
Walked 5.7 miles
Sunrise 7:14

Walked through town and the street behind our old house in town,
up and down the side streets,
and the lower cemetery.

Didn't see a skunk but sure smelled one.
Thought maybe one got it by a car but didn't see one anywhere.

Lisa was the only other person I saw out this morning
and saw her two times.

A crab apple tree loaded with little apples.

Not much going on around town this Saturday morning.

🌧    πŸ₯Ύ    πŸ’¨    🍁    😊

The library opens at 9:00 on Saturdays and we there there a little after.
Ken had a book on hold that was ready for pick up.
I came away with a book to read too.

Next stop was the Dollar General to pick up a few things.

The rest of the day we've been home puttering about the house.
Rained on and off all day.
I read, knitted, and got some more squares sewn together.

Thanks for popping in for a visit.
Happy SaturdayπŸ™‚

That leaf is so pretty..it sounds like a good day to have puttered around the house. It was a beautiful day here...but all I did was sew a little bit.

That sounds like a lovely day. We walked in fog this morning but later the sun broke through and it was beautifully sunny. We took the kittens out on the grass and watched them step very carefully on this strange surface. The whole family dotes on those kittens.

Hi Karen. Sounds like you are like me - I can't go to the library without checking out a book! I hope you enjoy yours. Have a good Sunday. See you then.

Sounds like a wonderful day.
We had crabapple trees in our front yard when I was growing up. They were always so pretty. The people who bought the house from my dad had them dug up. It's rather sad not seeing them there.

Cool photo of the crab apple tree. We have seen so many skunks in the road lately, squished and smelly. Oye. Hope you have a beautiful Sunday!
