Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A chilly start

Walked down to the end of our driveway last evening and
captured the sunset.

A chilly start to the day with it being only 39 degrees.
Nice to see the sun come up at 7:05 and shed glorious
sunshine over town.
By the time I had finished walking 5.7 miles it had
warmed up to 44 and with the sunshine it was great to be out walking.

I walked all over town, the ball park, and both cemeteries.

Lisa and Dwayne were out walking and I saw them a couple of times.

There is a woman in town that I see every once in a while when
she is out in her yard.
We always say good morning.
Today she was at the ball park (she lives across the street)
and we stopped to talk.
Must have spent 10 minutes getting to know one another.
Her name is also Karen. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love these cool Fall days for walking and it is my ideal walking weather!!
Air is so crisp and clear.

It was a beautiful sunny day all day long and the afternoon
temperature made it up to 58 degrees.

We made a trip out to the dump to get rid of our garbage.
Stopped at the Shop and Save on the way home and picked up a few things.
Had to get fresh basil, fresh mozzarella, and a tomato to put
on our pizza which we had for supper.
A Margarita Pizza

Made some weave-it squares this afternoon and now
have 30 of them done and sewn together for next month.
Too cold to sit outside so I sat by the window in the sun and read.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Friday๐Ÿ˜Š

Hi Karen. Fall is lovely. I love that last picture of the scarecrows and fall plants in the old sleigh. Wow, 39 degrees is a very cool start to the day. Are you guys up in the mountains? Those temperatures seem like mountain temps. Your pizza sounds so good. Glad you had another good day. See you again soon!

That is a gorgeous sunrise, and nice you got to chat with your neighbor. I am sure you will remember her name.

Pretty sunrise and Fall decorations too.
Glad you were able to chat with Karen.

Oh yes, fall is such a wonderful time for walking. The second day of fall was almost as perfect as the first here in the Ozarks. I love your sunset picture!

Oh, yes, it has been brisk. I found out the reason for the horrible wind—that hurricane is churning out in the ocean headed for the Maritimes. It's going to nick a corner of downeast Maine, but mostly it'll be New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, and Newfoundland that get clobbered. I see that another hurricane is heading for Florida's Guff Coast. I do not like hurricane season.

You are meeting a lot of new folks. That is great.

Brrrrr, that temp would have me indoors by the fire. Beautiful sunset.

It's been getting colder here as well. I don't think we've been as low as 39 yet though.

We made it up to high 70s yesterday and this morning low 50s. I'm loving it! It's wonderful to see fall decorations now and I'm surprised at how little I have. Why didn't I notice that last year? This next week, I need to do some shopping. No changing of colors here yet but that will come in a couple of weeks. Your Margherita pizza sounds very good! Have a great weekend.

Wow, 39 degrees? That would be extremely cold here. The last couple of winters we've gotten down that low - for a week or so. We're just not used to it.
