Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Day 5

Day number 5 of not walking.

Today I was able to put my shoes on and I can walk without limping,
but still not good enough for my morning walk.
We went down to LaVale to Harbor Freight and Tractor Supply
to check out some carts to haul the Fingerprint scriptures around.
We liked the ones at HF best.
We need four but HF only had one so we just bought the one.
We ordered three more on line when we got home.
Ken wanted to look at one of them in person before buying one
so that's why he didn't order all of them on line.
Here's the new cart put together.

I have a little garden cart and the wheels were in pretty bad shape
so got two new ones at Harbor Freight while we where there.
Ken put them on too.

Haven't grown any sunflowers this year because last year they
didn't do good at all up here.
These are from when we lived in town.

This afternoon we went to the library to drop off one of my books
and pick up a book for Ken that was on hold.
Also made a stop at the Dollar General.
I had to get three aluminum cake pans and brownie mix.
Will be baking later in the week for the Sunday School kids.

As usual sat out on the porch for a while.

Thanks for popping in.
🌻 A happy Monday to you. 🌻

...I have the first one from Harbor Freight. It's not great, but it gets the job done.

I'm so glad to hear that you are now able to wear shoes and walk without limping, Karen. I've been praying for you.

Getting out and about probably did you some good.

Enjoyed the pictures of your sunflowers from when you lived in town.

I'm glad you are still taking it easy. Do not walk too soon and get a setback!

That looks like a nice cart. I prefer to see stuff in person as well. Sometimes it looks good online but once you get it, it doesn't quite live up to expectations.
Love the sunflowers. They're so pretty.

Happy to know that you are mending!
The carts will be handy to have to manage all of your supplies :)

I thought you were going to say that Ken towed you around in it. Good to know you can get around a bit now

I have been away on vacation and just scrolled back to read about what happened to keep you from being able to walk. Oh, I am so sorry. I know that it must be hard for you to be missing your daily walks. It sounds like you are moving in the right direction now and I hope it won't be long until you are able to get back out there.

Be careful with walking. Use a walking stick :) It is a time of reading for you now.

Nice, nice sunflower. A big one.

Glad things are improving for your foot! That is a very nice little cart and will really make things easier for the workers. Hang in there, you'll soon be walking again.

Sunflowers! One of my favorite flowers next to lilacs! I'm glad to hear that you're able to get around better. I know you must be missing your morning walks. We just don't bounce back as easily as we used to! The cart looks really sturdy for the Fingerprint ministry. Have a lovely week.
