Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.
~Groucho Marx

An early morning walk is a blessing for the whole day.

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Cool Morning

A nice cool morning at 47 degrees and full sun.
Started out wearing a sweatshirt but walking and the sun soon
had me warm so back to the Jeep to drop off the sweatshirt.

A different view of the pond.

Driving to town I saw 5 deer all in the road.
I stopped and they all went off in different directions.

Walked around the cemeteries, the ball park and around town.

The road that goes from the cemeteries to the ball park is
getting prepared to be resurfaced.
It has been cut and now is being brushed clean.

Look at all that road dust.
I turned left here to walk around the ball park.

I went on Zillow to look at the lot that I posted a picture of
yesterday by the cemetery that is for sale.
You might what to check it out
There are lots of pictures of the lot and views of the whole town.
You can get a good overview of where I walk.

Joy was out walking today but we just waved because
we were too far away.

Walked 6 miles

☀️    🥾    🌼

We made a quick stop at the Shop and Save because
we were getting very low on ice cream.
Also picked up some milk and cheese too.

Didn't do much of anything.
Nice to take the day off.
Walked around out back and sat out on the deck.
Just in the 60's today with nothing by sunshine so the weather was delightful.

Life is Good
Thanks for the visit.
A happy day to you. 🤗

Vee -there was a house on the lot before so yes, the lot is big enough for a house.

...it was cool and refreshing here too, after temps in the 90s. That is a beautiful clematis.

What a beautiful town you live in.

I sure admire someone who walks 6 miles, then says she didn't do much of anything that day! What is your secret for so much energy? Wait...WALKING! Those flowers are beautiful...Clematis I think.

OH NO, getting low on ice cream means a trip to the store to replenish supplies. Last week I decided to try Sorbet ( which I'd never tasted). It's okay but not nearly as good as ice cream!!
That Clematis in the first picture is one I also have but mine is not at all as full of blooms!!

I so love that clematis in your first photo...its blooms are gorgeous.

That's a nice little lot but wowza! The price is steep... at least it would be around here. I love the flowers in the first photo... so pretty. Have a good week!

Isn't it something what land costs? I loved looking at your town and the area on the photos. It really is beautiful!

Yes, I understand that, but here we have a number of empty lots because the town will no longer allow a home to be built because the lot no longer meets size requirements. Crazy! I know. I am glad that your town has more sense.

These last couple days have held delightful temperatures. I didn't make it out to one of my flowerbeds until in the afternoon and it was still great weather to work in.

Nice area you call "home". I also enjoyed seeing the patriotic flag...for the fourth?

Wow, the price tag on that small lot is a shocking. You do live in a gorgeous part of the county, though. We are thankful for a little break from the extreme heat and humidity; surely makes walking a lot nicer.

That clematis looks like ours. Fun porch. Glad you could re-stock ice cream!
