Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A Short Walk

Happy to say I started taking my morning walk again today.
It was 48 degrees.
Some sun, some clouds, and fog.
I promised Ken I wouldn't walk more than 3 miles on my first
day back.  Kept it pretty close and walked 3.2 miles.

On the way to town I saw a few rabbits and a couple of deer.

Walked around both cemeteries and the ball park.

Saw rabbits at the cemetery and a couple blue birds as well.

John was out walking his dog and
Rebecca was out running.

Three people around the pond fishing.

Some pictures along my way.

🌸    🌼    🌸

Got the sheets washed and hung out on the line first thing
when I got back from walking.
It was supposed to rain by afternoon and I was hoping they would dry
before the rain came - and they did!!

Yesterday afternoon I planted some more petunias and pansies.
Have a few more pansies to plant but need to fill a couple more
planters with good dirt first.

Some of the strawberry plants that I planted have little
strawberries starting already. 🍓

Got a few things done around the house and then
read and knitted.

Mama Deer brought her baby around again today.

BTW
We are very pleased with our new internet provider NuBeam.
Works great and we don't have to worry about how much
broadband we are using up.

Thanks for stopping by.
A happy Monday to you. 🤗

So glad to know you are back to your morning walks. I have several pansies in such beautiful colors scattered about. They are still doing well, but as the summer grows hotter they will be done. Also, the pictures on your Sunday post and totally awesome!

I love the beautiful low-lying mist. And the country path with the fence bordering it. A beautiful day for a walk!

It's good to know you're able to go for your walks again even if you start off with fewer miles. The early morning pictures with the ground fog (?) look lovely.
The Mark Twain quote made me laugh.
