Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A Misty Walk and Fingerprint Day

The string of sunny days has passed.
Today was a mostly cloudy walk with periods of light misty rain.
It was 60 degrees with a slight breeze.
Didn't get dripping wet but was a little damp.

Walked around the lower cemetery and then walked over to
the ball park and walked around there.

Behind the ball park I saw a couple of rabbits, a deer, and
a green heron by the water.

Walked around town.
New lines got painted on the road through town.
This gets done every year.

No fishermen at the pond and there was a bunch of these
signs all around the pond.

They stocked the pond and tomorrow there is a
fishing contest for the kids.
Fishing Rodeo Roundup which is held every year.
Prizes are given out in different categories.

No people walking about that I saw.
I was a little earlier than usual so maybe they were out later.

Walked 6 miles

It was a Fingerprint work day at church.
The cutter is still broken and someone is supposed be fixing it next month.
Ken tried everything he could think but it is beyond his capabilities.
So for today we just put the stapled books in totes and Ken
and I will cut the books and box them up when the cutter is fixed.

We stopped at Lowe's on the way to church and bought a
bunch of totes to store the books in.

It was a good work day with a good many people working.
Working hours today were 12:00 - 9:00.
People come and go all day as they have time to help.
We worked till 7:00.
Will go back tomorrow to finish up.

That's it for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Friday. 🤗

We still had clear weather...but I stayed inside doing things today. Except I sat out a couple times to take a break. You had a long day!

You and Ken are such great examples of Christian service. You inspire me. :-)

You got a lot accomplished today! Wow, I don't know of any place that paints their street lines once a year!

That is nice to save the fish for the kids' fishing day. Sorry that machine isn't working yet. Good back up plan. Those newly painted stripes look great. Ours need some fresh paint in our county!

Another busy day for you. There's always something to do and one is never bored.
Life is good.

So clever how the painted lines follow the road. How do they do that?

God bless.

Wish our city/county would paint our streets ...much needed.
You both did a lot of work! Busy day.

We're supposed to get thunderstorms here today. There was a kids fishing derby scheduled for today but they postponed it until next week because of the weather.

Hello,
Our weather was similar, misty rain and clouds.
It should be fun for the kids to have a fishing contest.
Have a happy weekend.

It's been hot here today, too hot to really do any work in the garden. I did manage to sell a few of my tomato plants thoughg

I have no idea how often street lines are repainted here.
