Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Windy

29 degrees this morning, cloudy and VERY windy.
The kind of wind with gusts that pushed me along when walking or
made me take a step back depending on the direction.

Walked up and town the main street and the side streets.
Then around both cemeteries and the ball park.

One man out working in the cold at the fire house
drilling a hole in the brick of the building, for what I don't know.

Not much else going on around town.

Saw Rebecca at the end of my walk walking up to the
cemetery walking her dog Leo.

Walked 6 miles

A polar bear waves Merry Christmas

🎅🏻    ⛄️    🎄

Today walking I thought pancakes were just the thing for breakfast.
Not for Ken though, so he had a bagel and I made
chocolate chip pancakes for myself.
Mmmmm, that just might be my favorite breakfast.

Finished up the last of my house cleaning for the week.
(of course there is always the every day stuff that needs to be done)

Thought about walking up the lane to our neighbors house
and dropping off a little something I made for them
but it was even more windy than this morning!!

I got some more weave-its made this afternoon.
Now only need 18 more squares to finish the baby blanket.

That's going to be it for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy Wednesday to you. 🙂

Hi Karen - more icy, cold, cloudiness here. I don't care for wind much. It is not fun to walk in. I do that the Mother Teresa quote at the end of the post. Hope you have a good Thursday. See you tomorrow.

It looked so nice out this morn, and no frost on the windshield. But wow, the wind was off an iceberg. Thankfully was not a strong constant wind. But just feel like I have not gotten warm since I was out.

He passed up pancakes for a bagel? To each his own I guess. It's windy here tonight and I am glad because the ice is being shaken from the trees. It's making a racket. I just need to turn the radio higher.

Good for you for walking in that wind. I think my walk would have been short in that!

That must have been quite a walk battling the wind. It's still too icy to risk walking here.
That waving polar bear is kind of cute.

Hello,
It is cold and windy here too. I like the cute Polar Bear. The pancakes sound yummy. Great Mother Teresa quote! Take care, enjoy your day!

I can handle different weather but I have to say I dislike wind anytime off the year. Wind and I are not friends.

I think he could have been drilling a hole in the brick for some type of ventilation?

Pancakes are one of my favorite breakfast foods and also waffles.
