The temperature sure changes a lot from day to day lately.
This morning when I walked it was a warm 50 degrees.
It was mostly cloudy but the sun did show itself briefly.
Enjoyed my walk around town, both cemeteries and the ball park.
A lot of people leave their Christmas lights on all night and since
I start walking in the dark it's nice
to see the lights in the morning when I'm walking.
There were a lot of ducks on the farm pond behind the Drane house
down by the bulls.
The water looked pink from the sky reflection.
Saw Joy out walking today and this time she was close enough
that we stopped for a little chat.
Back at the Jeep I realized I didn't quite have my 6 miles walked
so took a walk around the town pond to get the 6 miles.

Another town Christmas decoration.
This time Bells and they are by the gas station.
This is my favorite so far.
🎄 🎄 🎄
Our Christmas tree is up and decorated.
Don't usually do it this early but glad to have it done.
We put two strings of red lights on and one string of multicolor
which blink.
I have to put tinsel on the tree - just doesn't seem finished without it.
We didn't have any To and From cards to put on the presents
so I made some from old Christmas cards.
We don't give each other present anymore
but we did get David and Liz a couple of things.
Every Christmas Ken paints some thing from the year on a red Christmas ball.
I went through them all and selected 11 of them to hang on the mantel.
This year he painted the 49th ball.
Will post that tomorrow.
I had planned on getting started writing out some Christmas cards
today but never got around to it.
That will be for tomorrow.
That's all I have for today.
Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
A happy Monday to you.

...you have a wonderful pink glow to enjoy. I decorated our tree today too. It's a bit surprising that the red viburnum fruit hasn't been eaten by the birds!
That picture with the pink glow is so pretty!
I'm looking forward to seeing the ornaments tomorrow.
That is a wonderful pink in your first photograph.
Your tree looks lovely.
All the best Jan
Gorgeous pond and sky reflection!! And stunning tree. I love tinsel too, but house critters prevent this addition. Your tree is stunning. We don't exchange gifts either. Stopped doing that when my folks passed (we had a huge Christmas celebration with large numbers of family ...we drew names).
Look forward to your sharing Ken's painted ornament. (My favorite street decoration is the poinsettia still)
The pink pond is lovely and I admire your determination to get the full six miles in.
That pond is so lovely with that sky reflecting in it. I can't wait to see what Ken paints...and if you run out of a series to post, you could start photographing those.
I like your tree...OH, that town decoration is one of my favorites.
Very well decorated.

What a pretty and cheerful little Christmas tree.
Hello,
Pretty pink reflection! Your tree looks beautiful.
Have a happy day!
What a wonderful Christmas tree. Happy Advent, Happyone.
God bless.
Your Christmas tree is a beaut! We have a much smaller Tree- it is electronic and changes color lights. When I was a child we had a real Pine Tree for Christmas - smelt wonderful throughout my Parents home. Best Wishes. KEV.
Hi Karen - I love your Christmas tree! I also like the corner window where you have it. I also love the idea of the Red Balls that you do every year. That is such a great tradition. So nice that David and Liz will be joining you for Christmas this year. Hope you have a great day and I will see you again tomorrow!
That first picture is so pretty and serene looking.
Great Christmas tree... especially the tinsel.
Warm wishes...
~K.
Your Christmas tree is beautiful, very pretty.
I like that pink glow you captured. Fun tree and that's a great spot for it. I'm fixin to get my cards done, too. We were at only 27 degrees yesterday!!
It's really looking like Christmas there. Now all you need is a bit of snow. Ken's painted red balls are extraordinary and quite a tradition. I look forward to seeing #49.
Your tree is very lovely. Is it a real one?
I always look forward to seeing those red balls. What a wonderful idea.
