Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Merry Christmas to one and all

 Happy Christmas Day to you.

It was a wet Christmas morning walk this morning.
49 degrees, rainy, and the wind is back.
Couldn't help but wish that this morning was one of the cold ones
so all this rain could have been snow!!

With it being Christmas AND rainy,
as you can imagine it was a very quiet walk around town.
Walked around the ball park and the lower cemetery.
No people about and just a handful of cars
and one farmer driving his tractor.

Walked 6 miles

🌧    🎄    🙂    🌧

Merry Christmas to you all.
Wishing you a Christmas filled with joy and happiness and love.

Hi Happyone, It is great to see you've already completed your Christmas day walk! I got mine in too and, like you, didn't see many other folks. Walked my 2 miles on the waterfront and only saw 6 people ... that is a new record low. We are expecting snow later today and a Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the next couple of days. Another year of following your blog is almost complete and it has sure been a pleasure. Thank you for sharing your walks, photography, and lots more. Merry Christmas to you and Ken. John

Merry Christmas Karen! I wanted to say thanks for your past visits and comments on my blog this past year. Hubby and I took a morning walk on our local fire road trail, we saw 2 other couples out for a walk too. Hope your day is merry!

Hi Karen - Merry Christmas to you and Ken and David and Liz! Hope you all have a wonderful day! I got a "Merry Christmas" text from my youngest daughter and she said she might send a video of my grandkids later. I hope so. We have had a nice Christmas so far. Off on an adventure tomorrow! Your blog has been one of my favorites for many years, and you are a dear "across the miles" friend. May you have much happiness in the new year! See you again soon.

Happy Boxing Day!

We have little snow, but it is cold...

So it is the beginning of Deep Winter, to me.

And yes, I welcome it. -smile-
