Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

2 in and 4 out

When I got up this morning it was 39 degrees and pouring down rain.
Not very pleasant walking weather so I walked 2 miles in the basement.
The rain stopped not long after.

We had to go to the Dollar General and the library so
after breakfast I walked to town.
By then the temperature was 50 degrees, cloudy, and no wind.

45 minutes later Ken drove to town and went to the Dollar General
on his own while I finished my walk.
I walked down the main road and around the ball park loop.

Didn't see anyone else out walking.

As I got to the library parking lot Ken was just coming out the door
so I hopped in the Jeep and got a ride home.

Walked 6 miles - 2 inside and 4 outside.

🌧    ☁️    🙂

This is the last snowman I've seen around town.

⛄️    🎄    ⛄️

It rained again so we spent an enjoyable afternoon in the house.
I got some reading done and made some weave-it squares too.

We are all set for Christmas.
The only other thing I'd like to do is bake some shaped
Christmas cookies and I'll do that next week.
If I made them now, they'd be all gone by Christmas. 🙂

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by.
I wish for you a happy day. 🙂

Our Christmas is simple and peaceful.
Makes it easier to remember what Christmas is all about.
The birth of Jesus, our Savior,
who gave us the greatest gift of all - our salvation.

Yesterday there were a few comments with concerns for the safety of the wandering #11 cow.  Not to worry.  We live on a dead end street and the only traffic is the people who live here and we all lookout for the cows and deer. 🙂

GrannyM - Yes, it as been a mild December for here.

Anni - Yes, I have been known to drive the tractor.

I bet you were glad to finish your walking outdoors! Looks like such a nice time to walk. If the weave=it squares were for the new baby blanket, show us the colors! But thinking they might be for your own.

Hi Karen. I have been thinking about baking some cookies too, but like you, I know that if I make them now, they will be gone by Christmas. I will probably do some baking tomorrow or next week. See you again soon!

Hello,
Pretty view looking down the road. Cute snowman and Christmas decorations.
The cookies would not last here, they would quickly disappear. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Take care, have a great new week!

You're always so busy. It is very cold here today. No walks today. No snow yet.

God bless.

Always good to check in with you. No snow for Christmas in your corner? Maybe that'll change, It looks like Narnia in the woods behind my little haven with paper whites and fading amaryllis blooms in the foreground. I hope to write a post this week..."hope" being the operative word.

Love to read that people are ready! We aren't totally, but have very, very, very little to do. I like it, this way. I do not thrive on holiday stress! -smile-

We had a bit more snow, and a bit of ice. Pretty, although I can't take good pics of it. It is and will be cold, so the little snow will last this week.

Not enough snow cover for plants, but hope we get more soon.

For now, this is pretty, and not hard to deal with. -smile-

Happy Full Cold Moon!

Sounds like a wet Christmas, instead of a white Christmas.
Good for you for getting your 6 miles done in spite of the rain.

The six mile woman does it again in spite of the rain. Nice walking, Karen!

The best gift ever...Jesus and the Salvation he brought us.
Glad you have flexible choices for walking when the weather throws you a loop!
