Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

Glad the Jeep didn't get washed yesterday because
this morning I drove to town and walked in a drizzly rain.🌧
58 degrees
Sunrise 7:22
👟 Walked 6 miles 👟

Walked up and down the streets in town and both cemeteries.

Only person I saw out was Rebecca walking Leo.
Just a few cars going through town too.
Guess it was a good morning for most people to stay in bed.

Spotted these yucky looking mushrooms
and looked them up when I got home.
Common Ink Cap and it is a fungus.
They are edible and have a mild taste but
POISONOUS when eaten with ALCOHOL.
They sure don't look very appetizing to me!!!

Stairs Number 13
These are at the same house as yesterdays stairs
but lead out the back yard to another road.

🍁    🎃    🍁

Inside this morning doing my everyday chores.
They were soon done and then I read
knitted awhile.

Still cloudy and not so nice out after lunch but
we went outside anyway and hiked around Happy Trails.
We left our property and hiked a trail on the state land
which backs up to our property.

Worked on the puzzle some before supper.
This evening I'll read some more and make a few weave-its
while watching an episode of ER or Law and Order.

About the Oatmeal Raisin Cookies yesterday.
I too like raisins in the cookies but I made them for
Liz and she doesn't.
Made a few cookies for Ken and I with raisins! 😃

Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you. 🙂

October made the leaves on Main Street fit for a crown.
They dripped from the trees in jewel-toned shades:
yellow and orange and fiery red.
The cool wind sent a confetti-cluster of leaves down around us.

That one bright tree in among the green ones sure is pretty.

I would venture to say that Oatmeal raisin cookies are Roger's favorites. I like these steps, too.

I'm looking forward to a morning I can just lay in bed instead of jumping out of bed packing up the car and heading to the next destination. It has been good but it has been long. We saw lots of bright trees like the one you posted today on our drive. Happy Sunday to you!

My DH loves his Oatmeal raisin cookies and when I make them I add chocolate chips for the last half dozen or so ( because I like them that way).

That tree and stairway are nice! Love the quote..."confetti-cluster of leaves down" (I like the picture those words paint in my head).

Hello,
The tree really stands out, it is colorful. The mushrooms do not look appealing.
Great quote! Happy Sunday, enjoy your day!

I'm not a big fan of mushrooms. Our sunrises at 7:52 and sets at 6:44. It will change soon when we turn back the clocks on Halloween.

As the weather is going toward freezing here, I just began to think about puzzle time too. Best to stay away from those mushrooms. As always, I enjoyed reading about and seeing pictures of your walks.
