Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

43 degrees this morning when I started walking.
No breeze and it was sunny once the sun rose at 7:15.

👟 Walked 6 miles. 👟

Walked all around town, around the ball park and one of the cemeteries.
Went up to the school this morning too.

Saw Joy out walking and Rebecca.
I met Kermit's wife Elaine.  She was already doing her housework and on their front stoop shaking out some throw rugs.

Red bumpy berries on a Kousa Dogwood tree

Another great fall morning walk.

Stairs Picture #6
By an abandoned out building.

🍁    🍂    🍁

We had some of that Pumpkin Bread from yesterday for breakfast.
I like it with a little butter on it.

Then it was off to Dollar General to get some groceries.
There was only one other person in the store!

Another load of laundry got washed and hung out to dry on
another gorgeous fall day.

After lunch while Ken was working on the road I was closer
to the house out back clearing and working on my natural fence.
Lots of deadfall around to pick up to put on the fence.
Trying to keep up with what I've already cleared before starting
on a new section.

That's it for this day.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy Saturday to you. 😀

GrannyM - I didn't do anything to the first picture on yesterdays post - it is right off my cell phone. I took the picture between two very large shrubs and they are what frames the picture.
Here is the rock again and I have outlined the eyes and mouth so you can see it smiling.

I always look forward to October when your pictures begin to look so fallish. The red berries on the dogwood are beautiful.

Never seen such berries in the UK. Are they edible?

God bless.

Hello,
Our dogwood tree has the berries now too, I wonder if the birds eat those berries.
Are the fall colors starting in your area, it is still mostly green here. Take care, have a great new week!

Hi Karen- It is good to go shopping with not a lot of people about- our main street is practically deserted during this Lock Down- hoping it will end soon...I'd like to go to our local cafe and sit down for a relaxing coffee and some cheese cake and a haircut. Best Wishes. KEV.

The berries look plump. I like those stairs with the leaves laying across them creating a nice frame.

Thar lady must be done with her daily housework, at about 10:30AM! Good for her! -smile-

Pretty berries!!!!!!

Those stairs don't get used very much. And the vines on them, are a pretty effect.

Yeaaaa for empty stores.

Been lovely autumn weather but soft rain today.
