Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Knitting mistake and Bench Number 1

Woke up to lots of rain, wind, and the temperature was 40 degrees.
I already got wet three times this week while walking and
didn't feel like going for four so did my walking down
in the basement.
3 miles before breakfast and 3 miles after breakfast.
Thankful I have this option!!

A French toast breakfast this morning hit the spot.

I was just about done with the hat I'm knitting when
I realized I made a major mistake.
Ripped a bunch of it out to where I made the mistake,
but when I tried to get the stitches back on the needle
I just couldn't get them all back on.
Sooooo I ripped the whole thing out and started over.
Well at least I won't make that mistake again!!

It's been a lazy rainy day and really didn't get a thing done.

Since I've been inside all day didn't take any pictures I
decided to post the first bench pictures in the
Bench Series
Bench Number 1

It is by the brick church on the corner in town.

A wider picture includes the wishing well.
There is a box where you can drop off prayer requests.

I'm off now to have homemade pizza for supper.

That's all I have for today.
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you. 🙂

Hi Karen, I like that bench. It looks like a pew, so is very appropriate to have by the church. I love that the church has a box for prayer requests. I think if I lived in your town, I would be using that all the time. :-) You homemade pizza sounds so good. I am making homemade chili and cornbread tonight. It can be so frustrating to make a mistake when knitting or crocheting. I did that on my last crocheting project - put it aside in frustration and haven't ever picked it up again. Hope you have a great weekend!

That's a nice sturdy bench and it looks quite new.
I saw this week that someone had tried making French toast in their air fryer and she said it worked fine. Maybe I'll try that soon.

Would love to have a bench like that on my porch! I can relate to the frustration of having to redo a job, I made a mistake with some jelly I made and canned this week, just couldn't get it to jell like I like it, but dh said it was delicious and not to worry, at least it spreads real easy! But I am not happy with it! ~smile

Have a great weekend, Karen,

Sorry you had to tear your hat apart. I do think we've all had to do that before, start from scratch when a project goes awry. Pretty bench.
Have a wonderful weekend and God bless you.

You have much patience when it comes to knitting!?!!! That would frustrate me to no end.
I try not to go out when raining here 'cause invariably rain is not 'normal' ...it literally comes down in buckets!!

Nice bench today.

The bench and wishing well are a pretty scene.
It has been raining here too, I can ride my indoor bike on the cold wet days.
Homemade pizza sounds yummy. Take care, have a happy weekend!

Glad you stayed in to walk. No need 'beating yourself over the head' with weather, as the saying goes.

Nice first bench...

You could always take some pics around your house, when you walk inside. -smile- Hint, hint, hint. -smmmmmile-
