Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Rocks

59 degrees this morning when I walked.
It was sunny with a few clouds scattered about.
Thought the clouds were a bit unusual, like little puffs.

Didn't wake up till 6:35 so got a little later than usual start.
Walked all around town.

I was wrong about school starting last week,
today was the first day of school.
Nice to see the bus drivers back and waving to me as I walk along.

The new roof is just about done on that house that was started yesterday.
Today workers were in the same yard trimming tree branches
away from the wires.

Saw Rebecca twice.
Once walking her cute little dog Leo and
the second time she was out running.

Walked 6 miles
Sunrise 6:51

This one may look familiar because I used the door in the door series.

We made a quick trip to the Shop and Save for food shopping.
Also stopped at the lumber yard in town to pick up a
couple more rolls of plastic.

The rest of the morning I did some more house stuff.
Then after lunch, outside to collect more rocks.
We just did 2 loads today.

Instead of a picture of the rocks in the Island,
here is a picture where we collected them this afternoon.
There are many places like this around Happy Trails.
Maybe we should have named it Rocky Trails.

As usual after work we sat on the porch and had a soda.
This time it was diet-sprite.

Read a while before supper.
It's been a good day.
Life is Good
Thanks for stopping by.
A happy day to you. 🙂

bearing within him the image of a cathedral.

The clouds look almost like popcorn thrown in the air...I love your rocky woods. I would never tire of playing there.

Oh, all those rocks bring back memories of picking rocks on Dad’s fields. It was always a job I did not look forward to.

Not having kids, I'm not absolutely certain, but I think school here starts tomorrow.

...the rosey clouds poking up through the corn tops is neat.

Those little puffs of clouds are so cool. We live in a rocky area, too. Glad you could have a little pause on your porch with a soda!

What a beautiful way to start the day. I love the puffy little clouds. I place a sone on a pile each day when I walk the trail and say a little prayer. I got the idea from a Louis L’Amour book. When the pile gets large enough Dan scoops them up into the tractor loader and dumps them wherever they are needed.

Love the quote.
I look to see our schools closing and online classes starting. Too many children haven't been vaccinated.

Rocky Top would be a good middle name for Happy Trails!

Hello,
the clouds and sky photo is beautiful. The schools here opened last week. You do have a lot of rocky to choose on your Happy Trail. Take care, enjoy your day!

Wondering what glacier passed by, to leave all these rocks, in its wake?

There sure are lots of rocks on your property! An easy place to gather as many as you need for any purpose.
