Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A little foggy when I first started walking but then just cloudy.
It was 64 degrees with just a little breeze.
Sunrise 6:12

The usual walk around town, cemeteries and ball park.

Yesterday the little horses were out of the pasture and 6 bulls
were there instead.  This morning nothing in the pasture.
Didn't see Farmer Marvin to ask about the horses.

Roger was walking around the ball park.
He told me he walks his dog Andy before going off to work.
That's why I haven't seen him for a while, I've been getting
to the ball park a bit later than usual.

Lisa was out running and saw another man walking a dog.

Met someone who lives on the main road in town.
Him and his wife bought the house a few months ago and have
been really working hard making it look nice.
He was out front and I told him how nice things were looking.
He has a name that is easy to remember - Kermit.

Another Door around town
A basement door - you might have to duck - siding down over the door.

Walked 6 miles

Walking I got a hankering for fried bread so made that for breakfast.

Started my house cleaning for the week.
When I got tired doing that
I read and knitted.
Sat out on the front porch.
Cloudy all day till very late afternoon and then the sun came out.

Thought of my mom a lot today because it is her birthday.
She would have been 91.
She was on this earth for 87 years.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope your day was a happy one. 😀

That quote made me tear up. I've had my mom on my mind...her birthday was the 23rd. 110 years ago.

...you have had some wonderful foggy starts to my days. Will you ever run out of doors?

Hi Karen. Happy birthday in Heaven to your mom. My mom's birthday was July 12. She would have been 101. The houses in your town sure have some interesting doors. I am making your recipe for spaghetti pie tonight! It is so good. I'd better get going and get it fixed. See you tomorrow!

The fog certainly creates a different mood to things.

I really like the doors you have been showing. Love that first foggy shot. Your mom lived a nice long life...did you live close to each other?

Farmer Marvin sure moves his bulls and horses around a lot.
I was wondering if you have a schedule for getting your housework done?

Hello,

Love the foggy scenes and the door. The Mom quote is lovely.

Have a great day!

Re: your comment about getting Tuberous Begonias... Yes, try them! They have been wonderful for years and years, in our front 'stoop' planter. Which gets only a tiny bit of sun, in the morning.

But be sure to get Tuberous Begonias. For a bigggg display.

Other begonias are great too, but they are smaller.

We put the Tuberous Begonias in the pot, for a prominent display.

Other smaller ones, we put in the little garden, and in smaller back patio pots.

Wishing you a lovely day . . . a day of rejoicing and being glad :) That door has so much character, if it could talk the stories it would tell. Looks like it has been there a very long time.

I would enjoy walking with corn fields all around. We have had lots of foggy mornings lately. My brother reminded me of an old saying, "For every foggy morning in August, it will snow that many days this winter." So, let's hope the fog clears before August begins.
