Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Happy Flag Day

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ    πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ    πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

My morning walk started off cloudy and 60 degrees,
with just a slight breeze.
We are into the days now of the longest daylight.
Sunrise 5:48
Sunset 8:46

Walked around both cemeteries, the ball park and all over town.

Joy was out walking - we passed by on the main road in town.
Another woman walking a dog was out, and we talked for a bit
though I don't know her name.
Ran into yet another woman around the ball park.
She was walking and running in turns.
Never saw her before but we said good morning.

Saw a deer again over by the cemeteries and I'm pretty sure
it is the same one as the other day.

Walked 6 miles
Found a dime and a penny

Today was the day of my appointment to go the MVA
in LaVale to renew my drivers license.
Everything is being done by appointment only now and it was all
very well organized, orderly, and everyone was very friendly.
Happy to say all went well.
This MVA is the best one I've ever been to in my entire life!!!

Was planning on getting some house cleaning done today but
when we got back home, just didn't feel like it after being out.
Cleaning will just have to wait for tomorrow.

Spent the afternoon outside.
Pulled weeds out of the gravel.  Easy to pull up out of the gravel
and it rained yesterday which made it even easier.
Then just walked around and finally ended up on the front porch reading.

David is out of town so Liz came over after work
for a visit and had pizza with us for supper.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Hope you made your day a good one.

So glad all went well at the MVA. I never like to go in and deal with driver's licenses. In AZ driver's licenses were good until age 65, but here they have to be renewed every four or five years. I think I have until 2023, but after reading this post, I think I'd better check. I have been here in Utah four years this summer! ;-) I am glad you had Liz over for dinner. Sounds like a good day. See you again tomorrow.

Beautiful photos as always and sounds like it was a good day. I put the follow.it widget on my blog for email followers. I wasn't going to do anything until I saw just how many follow by email subscribers I had, I was shocked!

I love the early view of the pond at the start of your walk, which just goes to show that the early bird does indeed get the worm. But, the later view is very pretty too.

Cleaning can always wait for tomorrow. Good that you ended up sitting on the porch and reading.

At last ... a dime and a penny. I was beginning to despair.

God bless.

My favorites are the pond...my FAVORITE of the two us the early morning fog lifting above the water line.
I think the longest day (as in daylight) is the 1st day of summer.

Last time I got my license renewed it was a pleasant experience as well, thankfully. We have to get ours renewed every 8 years, which I think is generous. That pond looks so different with the change of light. Light really is everything. Hope you have a good Tuesday! Take care!

I've never been to a well run, organized MVA. I'd like to, though,

Lovely photos all!!!!

I noticed last night, that there was still a bit of light, when there *should not* have been. -smile- Yes, this is the longest time, isn't it? With Mid Summer's Eve on June 21st! It is creeping up on me!!! LOL

Our oldest Granddaughter said that the MVA is done by appointment now, and is such an improvement!!!! Something good, to come out of this horrible China Covid Pandemic?

Gentle hugs,
🏊 😊 🏊

That picture with the flag is wonderful! Of course, all your pictures are always beautiful. My oldest grandson was born on June 14th, Flag Day.

Great before and after walk shots of the fountain. Glad all went will with your license renewal. You and I were both pulling weeds out of gravel today! How nice that Liz could come for dinner while David is out of town.
