Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Funny Puzzle

Another morning not good for a town walk so back down in the basement.
I like to think of all the nice days that will be coming up when I can get back to my town walk.  I just have to have patience.

We finished another puzzle.  This was a funny and fun one to do.

Some closer looks

Got started on this weeks housework.
The sheets got washed.  Can't hang them outside but I have drying
racks that I set up over a couple of heating vents and they dry
pretty quickly.

Making more weave-it squares for the baby blanket for February.
Got a good start on them.
Still reading the second book in the Games of Thrones.
They are all around 800 pages with smallish print so it takes a while.

For supper I made some Chunky Chicken Noodle Soup.
Tastes especially good on a cold winters day.

That's all for today.
A happy Monday to you.
Thanks for stopping by.

A home is a place where a pot of fresh soup simmers gently on the hob,
filling the kitchen with soft aromas and filling your heart
and later your tummy with joy.

That does look like a fun puzzle. That soup would be good for a cold winter day. I always enjoy reading about your day. See you again soon.

That puzzle does look like fun! Hope you can get outside at least a couple of times this week. We're having very cold weather all week so we won't be wandering outside.

Our temp reached 70 degrees today. You can imagine how much we enjoyed that! On Monday the sheets get washed no matter! That’s the way it is here too.

That does look like a fun puzzle! We just started one this afternoon. We've had some more snow and it's just too cold for Dear to work in his very cold shop. These days really call out for soup!

I'm off to check out your soup recipe.

That was a funny puzzle.

Another day in the basement. Soon the weather will change and you'll get out again.

Do you folks own a dryer? You are very good about not using one.

God bless.

Your day sounds perfect. The puzzle, clean sheets and the soup .. It gives me that nesty home feeling. We got a little snow and some freezing rain here last night also. Luckily, Paul said that the roads weren't to bad for his ride home from work this morning.

Have a great day. Enjoy your book.

Fun puzzle indeed, I haven't walked to much lately the weather has not cooperated, no snow just rain, rain everyday.
The soup quote is sweet, I am a year round soup eater.
Blessings,
Sue

I love the description of home....my brother always tells about coming home from doing something...and he could smell our mom frying chicken a good ways away.
