Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Monday

Mornings have gotten warmer again and today the temperature
was 59 degrees when I left on my walk.
There was a mix of sun and clouds and no wind.
A drive to town and a random walk all over the place.

The bulls were out down by the Drane house.
Toady there were 5 of them and the little horse was still there too.

Took this picture of the Drane house from the cemetery.

A busy day around town on this Monday morning.
A house getting a new roof,
a new sidewalk getting put in,
and a lawn getting mowed.

Passed by the day care center and saw a couple little ones
getting their temperature taken before being allowed to go inside.

Lena and Jim were out walking and we passed each other a couple of times.

It was such a pretty morning to be out walking.
Walked 6 miles
Found a penny 💰

This morning I could be seen doing laundry and hanging out the sheets,
vacuuming, dusting and cleaning the bathroom.
Did it all in a rush because I didn't feel like doing it.
Wanted to be up at the cabin working with Ken.
By 11:00 I was finished with my work and walked up to the cabin.
He was busy putting up siding on the outhouse.
I ended up being his gofer again and handed up pieces of siding
to him while he was on the ladder.

Back to the house for lunch and afterwards went back to the cabin.
It clouded up and we felt a few drops of rain but before long
the sun was back out again.
The roof and three sides are done on the outhouse.
The back still needs to be done as well as the inside
but here's what it looks like as of the end of today.

Got back home too late to eat apples on the porch, too close to suppertime.

Supper this evening was frozen pizza
which hit the spot for us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
A happy Monday to all.

Hi Karen - your cabin and outhouse look like such a fun place! I am sure your son enjoys staying there when he comes to visit. I love the license plates. Looks like you have lived a lot of places, like us! Hope you have a great evening and I will see you again tomorrow!

You are seeing some pretty color. Now that outhouse looks nothing like what I have used. I’m also confused as it is off the ground.

Hi Karen- Certainly a busy day for you and Ken- the Cottage Project is looking really good- as Autumn closes you'll be near to Winter soon. We're still in Spring- warm days and cool nights. It was my Partner Chris's 71st Birthday To-day. Cheers. KEV.

I can’t get over how adorable this cabin and outhouse is. I love the colorful tag details. I also see a tiny bird house facing the cabin. I think you should paint it to match the cabin. So cute!

Wow, you two bring the humble outhouse to new levels! It turned out so cute. I love the scalloped siding at the top.
The foliage in your area is looking so colorful. Something we have to look forward to.
