Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A happy visit

Had my usual walk around town this morning.
Walked up and down all the streets, around both cemeteries,
and the ball park loop as well.

It was clear and 34 degrees.
Even had a light frost in places.

Saw Rebecca out walking around town two different times.
It was a quiet early Saturday morning.

By the time I get back in the Jeep from walking I'm pretty warm
and have to turn on the defroster because I fog up the windows.

Driving home just before getting to the house I stopped to let
6 deer walk slowly across the street.

Walked 5.5 miles
By the time I was home the sun was out and shining.

☀️     🙂     ☀️

Got a couple of pictures of the buck that comes around the house.
I named him Billy.  Don't know why but Billy just popped into my head.

We've had such an enjoyable day with David and Liz.
Just great to be able to spend time with them.
We walked all over Happy Trails and really just visited and talked
and talked.  They plan to come up again soon.

That's it for today.
A happy Saturday to all.

No frost here yet, though there have been warnings...in fact, I am bringing in the flowers just to be safe. Billy is a good name for a young buck. So glad that you have had a nice visit with your son and Liz. Always good.

Our frost is usually later than this, mid- to late-October, usually. I will have to be alert in order to bring a plant that isn’t hardy inside! Lovely pictures! So glad you had a good Saturday!
