Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Yard of butter cups

Took a blogging day off yesterday but back today.

Sunset last evening

The temperature was 40 degrees when I left on my walk this morning.
Wind still around but not nearly as strong as the last couple of days.
There was a very light misty drizzle a couple of times,
but for the most part just cloudy.

Walked to town and around the lower cemetery when I first
reached town.

Remember the house a few days ago that I thought was getting
an extension added on - well it looks like it is just a deck after all.

From the cemetery I walked around town and over to the ball
park and walked the loop there.
Then made my way back home again.

Passed by this yard that was covered in butter cups.
Tried to get a single bloom picture but it was just too windy
for my phone to get a picture that wasn't blurry.

No people out walking this morning but did see
all the usual people going by in cars and trucks who wave to me.

Walked my usual 6 miles
Found a penny

☁️     🙂     💰

Another month that there is no Baby Blanket work day
at church, but I did start another blanket for June.
Maybe by then we can meet again and I'll have 4 blankets done.

Finished another row of 24 weave-it squares and added it on to
the bedspread I'm making.
Now just 9 more rows to go.

Knitted some dish/wash cloths for my friend Bettye.
Her birthday is coming up next week.
Can post the picture now because she already has them.
Hi Bettye - Happy Birthday a little early!! 🎈🎂

Did some house cleaning and then just puttered about.
Stayed cloudy and on the cool side all day.

We made pizza again for supper.

That's about it for today.
A happy and healthy day to you.
Thanks for stopping by.

Oh, my friend, it's not what they take away from you that counts.
It's what you do with what you have left.

That corner of the fence with all the butter cups is just beautiful. My phone will not take good photos if there is movement either. whether from the wind or from me!

The sunset yesterday was gorgeous!

...what a sunset!!! This morning was sweatshirt weather, the afternoon was short sleeve weather here. It looks like the cemetery folks aren't fans of trees. I have yet to see buttercups. My three children are teachers and New York State has determined that there will be no summer school this year. Take care Karen.

Wowzer! What a sunset! That's a nice deck; I'm sure they'll enjoy an outside room.

I made a pizza yesterday...searched for "thin crust." It was okay, but not great. Any suggestions? (I searched your cooking blog before asking. )

The field of Buttercups looks so lovely, like a myriad of stars!!
But I'm glad I don't have to battle them in my yard.
Love the gorgeous sunset picture.

Hi Karen, I love that yard with Buttercups. So pretty. That sunset picture at the beginning of this post is stunning. I get an email every morning from the post office telling me what is coming in the mail that day and today I have something coming from your location - I am excited and curious! That is so nice of you! Thinking of you today and knowing you are going to have another happy day today! See you again soon!

It has definitely been a year for buttercups. They aren't the most desirable plant to have in our pastures, but your picture shows how beautiful they can be. Four finished blankets is pretty amazing!

Such pretty photos today! The dishcloth that you knit is the same one that my mom used to knit on their trips to Florida. When she died we found a box of them in her craft closet!
