Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A walk, a ride and BLT's

Drove the jeep to town again and started walking at 6:34.
60 degrees, cloudy, and calm.
Sunrise 7:00
A random walk all around town.
Up and down the main road and the sides roads too.

A couple of times around the cemeteries and around the
ball park too.

I often see a man running around the ball park and he was there today.
He ran one way and I was walking in the opposite direction
so we encountered each other a few times.
We had a conversation a sentence at a time as we passed by
and never slowed down.
We even laughed about it one time.
One of the times we exchanged names.
He is Thomas.
Walked back to the jeep and then back home.
Walked 6 miles

After breakfast we hit the road again in the jeep and
drove to a church in central Pennsylvania.
A different one from last week and a bit closer.
No delivery this time but had to pick up a few things to
bring back to our church.
It was mostly back roads and the sun was out so it
was a nice ride.
Stopped and had lunch at Wendy's.
When we got home I really didn't feel like doing much
so just puttered around.

We ate apples on the porch and I threw my core down in
the lower driveway so the deer could find it.
One of those tomatoes that Ron gave yesterday was turned into
BLT's for supper this evening.
It tasted every bit as good as they looked.
Going to make a Caprese Salad with the other one tomorrow.

That's about it for today.
Hope you enjoyed your day.

That sounds like a fun conversation. I think I see spots of color in one of your pictures, and 'think' I see some in another. There are spots appearing here. One tree we pass once or twice a week is yellow all over, but not the golden glow type of yellow. And today the leaves on it were just dancing a jig in the breeze. If I had though, I would have been tempted to stop and take a little video of them. Beautiful flowers in the last shot...love the visitor.

Looks like the weather was pretty okay for you walking. Cloudy is okay especially if it doesn't rain. Your temperature was very similar to ours. There's definitely a feeling of Fall in the air.

We love our BLTs. Our local Sonic makes a great one too. There's definitely some fall color beginning to show up in your pictures today. I love that last shot!

How delightful to have a "companion" develop as you are walking around town. This often happens when we are hiking and we "hopscotch" each other on the trail. Always worth a good chuckle. Enjoy the rest of your week.

Beautiful flower with a bee. Great shot. I love BLTs. It's hard to find any good tomatoes around here but we lucked up a lot this year.

Beautiful flower buds, and thoughts as you walk, our temps. are changing I am hoping to get back to my walking schedule.
I also love drives in the country, even though we live in the country. ~smile~.
Have a great day,
Sue

A beautiful flower and the bee is enjoying it. The BLT sounds delicious, I haven't had one of those in a while. Nice quiet road to walk on, I like it.
Enjoy your day!
